Now burnt and blasted armor only appears at the precise impact sites, which is great by itself. But it seems strange when on a cored leg, for example, or side torso some parts of armor still can look new and shiny. You can try legging a mech in Training Grounds while only shooting precisely in one point to see what I'm talking about.
I suggest that besides appearing at the impact sites, scorched armor should be applied to the whole location as soon as it lost all armor points (in this case arms will be affected too and there will be difference between front/rear torso locations). Or as soon as location is cored (in this case arms will be detached already and no difference should be between front/rear torsos, simpler but less spectacular and informative approach).
