So I recently outfitted a Spider SDR-5K with a Gauss Rifle setup....and it works hilariously well!

Planning on doing a Cicada CDA-2A flamer rush setup at some point (or All Your Pulse), and probably something equally goofy down the line.


Anyone else ever try to make goofy setups? :3

Personally I love to make dumb mechs, it's part of the fun/challenge I can create for myself, considering how limited the content/immersion is for now.

I love joke builds! I've been running a CN9-AL with 4 flamers and 2 srm4s. It's fun little more effective than a straight flamer boat. Has decent speed around 90 something kph. Been a while since I ran it so I don't remember what engine I was using.

Cicada-3C with an xl200 engine and 3 AC/2 + 1 med laser

You are slow, but can dish out some damage.. was more fun than than just a LL and 4 machine guns

edit: Also, maybe not a goof-build, but I put the same xl200 in a catapult K2, loaded it with 2 gauss, 4 tons of ammo and 2 large lasers. Works surprisingly well.

was hilarious to play that mech

i was baffled how effectice it was too (well pre-patch^^)
on citymaps it was really cool to come around a corner and then see the panic building up in those 6xPPC stalkers, while i grilled and doublebarreled them to death
