I am just putting this out there due to not having access to the code but it seems that LRM damage has increased more than would be expected from a mere 0.2 damage bump. I was wondering, since splash radius was reduced as well, if when splash is calculated and the radius doesn't reach an adjoining hit location does the splash get applied to the original hit location?

Missiles do fly faster = more hit over the course of the game, missiles dont fly crazy pattern = more hit and 0.2 more damage means something as it is more than 28.5% damage increase. These all reflect on the final damage.
All that together accounts for your perception. I couldnt detect any damage spikes while playing 7 games with the new LRMs. Damage results where quite consistend compared to my play performance. Thus i assume Splash is doing not much.
