UK based
Ping bounces between 100-200

Every match now involves rubberbanding of some sort - Sometimes I will be walking in a straight line, it will 'glitch' and then a second later my mech is facing another direction completely.

Landing shots on target is now much more difficult than past patches

My rubberbanding isn't heavy, but it's frequent. It's like tiny microjumps, and they throw me off.

Steps to Reproduce
0. Boot the game.
1. Login to the game.
2. Launch a match.
3. Observe Mechs "teleporting"

Workarounds
Troubleshoot network connection to resolve any client-side issues.

I am constantly rubberbanding in game, and server connections losses and session drops are also common enought that I apologize to my team about the potential of them happening to me before a match starts.

Every game has at least some rubber banding, but some games are much worse that others.

My internet connection is fine, and I don't lag in other online games.

Yep, happening to me too since the latest patch (post-May-31st). It's making the game unplayable.

I am also experiencing this issue, I've killed both my antivirus and any wireless software, I'm not experiencing it in any other game, if I wanted microjumps I'd be playing eve online.

I've had two nights of rubberbanding. One last Thursday, and again tonight. What follows are things I've tried both nights and the results.

1) Only problem is rubberbanding. Every 5-10 seconds, I skip, and everybody else freezes for a moment.
2) My ping has never reported over 50
3) It's every match I play
4) Reboot of my PC doesn't fix it
5) Next day, without reboot, no issues

Here's the kicker: Saturday, I switched ISPs and routers. That's right! The same behavior, same computer, different network.
Thursday I was on Brighthouse, rubberbanding the whole evening.
Friday, Brighthouse, A-OK.
Saturday, went to WoW.
Sunday A-OK. Monday night: rubberbanding.

Hope this helps PGI track it down.

In addition to rubber banding, I'm also experiencing shots which hit visually not doing any damage, as well as getting killed by attacks I never saw. Has only been doing it since last patch.

I'm playing from australia, and my ping is usually in the 270-300 ms range.

I personally just hate the rubberbanding that occurs when two mechs in a dogfight situation crash into each other, more then once I ended up on the bad side of this deal rubberbanding right in front of my opponents AC20 just to get evaporated or ending up with severe "collision" damage for multiple times passing through him which as a spider can cost me the game in the end......this really starts to annoy the hell out of me ...same thing with getting stuck on terrain ....same here, a couple dozen times I just died cause I jump jetted into a piece of terrain (but not something like a hole or an overhanging rock ...just plain terrain , mostly a slope on Canyon Network) sitting there being stuck out in the open for seconds like a present for my opponent that I just started dogfighting with. At first ( being a new player) it didnt bother me that much but now a few weeks later after getting a grasp of the game and getting better at it this really gets in my way a lot of times plain and simple getting me killed.

the rubberbanding that you address in this thread only occured a few times for me ( being from Germany having a ping between 100-200) and isnt really that relevant for my gaming experience ...the two things I mentioned before on the other hand are. Very much so.

I got stuck in a canyon wall today. Canyon network where a 'rock' attaches to canyon wall very close to C2 (like almost touching the 2 on the map).

I have the same problem.
My ping is 69ms
I have invested over 500$ in this game and would like to invest more but since I cant play it anymore I will not buy anymore.
there are "wants" such as clan mechs, better gameplay, and community warfare I would like to see but have not, and that has slowed my spending.
Then there are "needs" like reliable hit detection and weapon balancing that must be addressed before I spend another dime on this game.

I may be a single "small" investor in this product, but I have contributed more than most.. its a terrible farce that I cant play a product that I paid so much for already.

Yes, I know its beta.. this changes nothing.

This happens to me at least once every 2 or 3 matches. It's usually only a brief glitch that comes in 3 or 4 individual jumps in-game, usually resulting in me not being in cover when I know full well I should be.

This last patch makes me rubberband when I've gone over some rough terrain, usually when I've been jump jetting around places with rocks and other non-even terrain. Never had any rubberbanding before the July 2nd patch. I always have around a 50ms ping also.

Based in Ireland, ping always below 50. This is happening way more since the latest patch. It's a joke. Everything had been going pretty well for the last few week, a couple of nights with bad lagging, but it had improved significantly. Crap since then.

Having this problem again also but in WA USA. all other games are fine but getting pings in the 1200-1500 ping range. Same since last patch.

Besides rubber banding I have noticed the FPS drop since two patches ago. Before that I've never experienced that.

Now, from time to time, in game, the FPS drop to around 10, 12 suddenly. And after a while it goes up again to 35, 40 (confortable zone for me).

I didn't change anything on my system. All software is running as before with no changes.

It's annoying!

Cheers,

There is more going on than rubber banding. The effect itself is likely due to your FPS dropping 20pts. I found your reply with your system info, will follow up there.

I have noticed a considerable uptick in the rubber banding if near another mech. Teleporting around them or them around me.

What videocard are you useing?

I have a rig with dual 580M's (IKNOW I KNOW IKNOW SLI isnt supported.) and have the same issue, It seems to happen when the ingame countdown hits around 10-8 minutes left. and then bam down to 4 fps. if i manage to live long enough it shoots right back up to normal, but I dont often make it that long... :)

rubberbanding is present and disconnects as well. Makes game unplayable at times. Not a client side issue since I have no problems connecting to any other servers.

need help with this one.
