I was on Sarna and it stated that the BT universe and Mech Warrior one had mechs that were scavanged from various parts of other mechs to make one unique one. Would it be great if we could do that in game . I mean cannabilize 2 mechs have all it broken parts head torso legs arms etc and hard points and re assemble it as we like. But at a cost that the unused parts are gone if not used and for a price of cb fee to disassemble the 2 mechs first

In the original MechWarrior: The BattleTech Role Playing Game, #1607, on page 47 it shows what they call a RoughRiders Rifleman. The top half is a Rifleman and the bottom half is a Warhammer.

Which is kinda funny when you realise both Warhammer and Rifleman have exactly the same bottom half. :huh:

As far as you go, OP, such cannibalisation would probably require too much effort for it's benefit.
For now, you'll have to do with Cataphract, which is a frankenmech in it's own right.

This is based on a time period were most resupply comes from battlefield salvage. There was rules for placing Rifleman arm you salvaged from the battlefield onto your Warhammer or Maruader.

Hmm... How about the Comando Legs and an Atlas Torso... seems legit :)

You could call it the Penguin after its rolemodel;

I remember my Mechwarrior RP campaign seeing the advent of the "Waspmaster".. a Battlemaster with a cleanly blown off head, adding a jury-rigged Wasp Head with some welded support.

I had the strangest dream on being able to cram two engines into a mech at the cost of crits bleeding over into the side torsos leaving 1 engine vulnerable like an XL engine for more power. It was ... interesting.
