I typically say "Greetings, good luck and have fun!"
Just don't want to upset the Great Lakes Haemophilia Foundation.

I prefer "good luck my team, have fun all".

I say gg at the end of every game. It could be a US thing but after a competition it's customary to shake your opponents hand and say good game. The meaning of the gesture is to show respect for your opponent and gratitude for their time competing with you.

If people have a problem being shown respect perhaps it's because they don't respect themselves.

I've seen plenty of NFL and NBA playoff games end with most of the losing team heading for the locker room without shaking anyone's hands. You're talking about baseball, where they're congratulating each other for being able to stay awake for an entire game.

If you want to show respect, type something respectful that actually indicates you put more than 2 nanoseconds of thought into it before exiting the match. If the steamroll meant so much to you, and you actually had respect for the opponent, then call out who played well. Otherwise....people don't want to hear it.

What is up with the kindergarten kids acting all up over a simple ¨GG¨ or ¨GL HF¨...

Seems someone got out of bed on the wrong foot... everyday.

You know what... I think I will start saying ¨GG¨ and ¨GL HF¨ all the time from now.
Cuz thats just how I am gonna roll.
See you around kiddos.

Edit : yes I liked my own post.

This is getting off topic so we should stop it :b
But even if you like your own post it has no positive effect on your likes at all :b
Some people just like their own posts when they for example post a troll response to a thread - since liking your own post in those situations can often add a greater ¨B u t t hurt effect¨ ;b

Edit: cuz censor :b

In this one match, my entire team rushed the tunnel and somehow got massacred, leaving me to fight a completely untouched trio of mechs (a cataphract, an stalker, and an atlas) all on my own.

Posted ImageI almost got the Atlas, but alas, it was not to be.

If I enjoyed my part in the round or just had a nice time watching the other pilots battle Ill say gg.. If someone is offended by that... they will likely already be leaving to report me for any number of other possibly offensive nonsensical statements I had previously cast.

Thats the problem with the kids who sleep in the top of a bunk beds... it takes a little longer to hit the floor after getting up on the wrong foot.

It tracks...he just described how he will try to annoy people with "GG"..which is exactly what some people are3 talking about...the disengenuous nature in which some people post it. Ironic.

I think this can go either way. Trolls gonna troll. Haters gonna hate. I end up laughing at a lot of the derogatory flaming that floats my way pre, during, and post match... especially at the end when they try to get that last little zinger and then disconnect (By the way many times the flamers are <DEAD> and could have used better tactics or just had dumb luck). I play for fun. I'm a wounded veteran and to be honest, I could give a rat's backside how somebody who opens up with insults thinks I play the game. I'm here because I love the game, the background, the group I run with, and the company putting it all together.

You are absolutely right and that is a good perspective to have. Think I'll borrow it! ;)

this topic gets complicated because people feel like they should say "GG" at the end of a game regardless of outcome and others think its meaningless if it is just thrown around like that. The thing is, "GG" is a meaning less gesture, it takes no time to do it doesn't say anything it stands for "Good Game' but it really just means thanks for being in the game so I could play. Its hollow and means absolutely nothing to you when someone sais it. However (and im ignoring the group who say it just to annoy you since they would do anything to annoy you and them saying GG is irrelevant to this discussion) because of "good sportsmanship" people feel the need to say "GG" and it gains a meaning for them. Maybe it makes the feel polite, less douchy, makes the 8-0 pubstomp they just went through less painful. The reasons are their own but they will do it because it makes them feel better and it has a meaning for them. Personally I prefer a sentence as opposed to "GG" that's how I get my warm fuzzy feeling, but to each their own. Long story short, everyone has their own little ritual to make us feel nice.
Edit: Wow three posts per post and a duplicate... so 6 times what I meant to have here
