Excuse me Mr PGI sir, could you please say something about the crash and stability issues since the last patch?

Your silence leaves me thinking you dont care.

We have tried the repair tool.
We have tried the forum fixes.
We have tried communicating with you.

But nothing.

I know as a legendary founder I dont really matter to you, but please could you atleast talk to us?

My issue only started last night, not since the patch, I kind of doubt this is my issue.... Either way, I shouldn't have to tell my router to ignore DoS attacks to get the game to work, maybe if we were in early beta, maybe, but we are a couple months away from release. This nonsense is unacceptable.

People still get crashes? I limited my FPS to 40 some months ago and i have no problems with the game or with the hud.

Actually, as is the case that is outlined in the post, some routers are older and may have smaller acceptable limits of what they considered a DoS attack. That's not a failing on the manufacturers part, nor on PGI's. Given the literally thousands of router types out there, they would have no way to anticipate what restrictions every single one would have. And just as with any technology, as the slider moves forward, so to does the amount of traffic generated. But if an older router is not adjusted to account for higher legitimate traffic rates, it will generate a false positive and restrict said traffic.

Also, there is nothing to say that this is indeed what is going on for everyone anyways. It has been mentioned as a possible fix for some, and as a suggestion to try in case others aren't aware. Edit: As you noted that your issue started last night, it is quite likely that there is an intermediate routing cause that is affecting you, but you would need some traces and bandwidth checks during affected time periods to fully sort that out for sure.

I'm one of these smug people who have had no crashes or disconnects in about 200 matches. Whatever the problem is, it's definitely only affecting some of you.

Suddenly I am crashing to mechlab almost every single match. Especially (for some reason) when I'm in the trial highlander. I was considering the trial by fire sale but I'm waiting to see if I can actually play the game first
