Was hoping to claim my prize also earlier tonight, realized they would give it out in the end of the timeframe after I noticed there was no place for it in the mechlab right now on the list.

This challenge was fun, and interesting. It started out with a whole lot of derps trying their darndest to base cap NO MATTER WHAT, on both sides of the battle line. This lead to some people deciding to guard the base, which unfortunatly many times they were not capable of doing lol.
Turning point was last night later, got on a team in RC night. The hesitation of the team at launch, you know, where everyone looks around at first- well, it got so bad, people didnt know if they should run to cap or stand there lol. Finally said "kk, lets gaurd the base" and all but on X5 actually hunkered down, and after much LRM's and peek-a-boo blasting, we whittled the other team down and had a 3 man lead, plus they were really beat up. The X5 then touched their cap, and when the remainder turned to go back to thier base, we rolled out like Optimus prime and anihilated them.

After that match, there was still some hesitation, but by tonight now, things seem t have gotten back to normal more. I was just amused at how something like some mech bling could make people frantic to try to find a fast way to achieve those 25 wins, and then how players had to react to those frantic base-racers. Interesting how something so small, that has nothing to do with weapons, chassis, or even game mode or map balance can really alter how players plan out a match.

Anyway, I liked this challenge, a lot more then the tournament stuff. Something I can do solo without playing for like 50 hours straight with the SRS Bizns players. I hope to see more of these.

Needed 49 PUG matches to achieve it and the worst match was a conquest 6 vs 8 on caustic valley having a few hundred tons disadvantage - if the Lights had not fight but capped we would have won...i have to blame them for ruining my record ;)

Thats ok! This was my first game on the challenge opening night. I wanted to facedesk so hard i was worried i would break my desk... ..the scores are so embarrasing i had to 'blur' them out lol. Something wrong with matchmaker PGI?

Yes. I managed to get the only kills and score more than the rest of my team combined. Some pugging tips going up on the forums this weekend.

It is better to do this event as a group, well...a decent group. It can make all the difference in the world. It took me and some Team Banzai players about 35ish matches to rack up all the victories we needed yesterday.

I decided this challenge was awesome enough, that I had to play through it with my Awesome-8Q. Took two days and about 60-odd matches, but I did it. 25 AWS-8Q wins. 2xPPC, 1xERPPC, 1 SPL, and a whole heap of patience.

When I get that holo I'm putting it in the AWS, 'cause it earned it. I may not get to see it for awhile though, because now I need to play anything that isn't an Awesome for a few days.

I think this Weekly Challenge initiative is a very good idea, and a much better way to encourage people to play the game.

This will be a nice addition to my mech. I say this because when I first started with Battletech in the early 90's, it was out of the 3050 Technical Readout that i use to build my mechs from.

The bads are out in force. I'm seeing ECM mechs with ECM and trial Jenners running off to die for 0-10 damage. I can't carry hard enough until I switched to my own D-DC and covered my lance with ECM.

The first day was bad enough. It was Assault Warrior Online with 4-6 Assaults per match. Lights aren't pulling their duties either on Conquest and I've lost matches where it's 7:1 in our favor but the lights did nothing and we have no points capped. They would follow our deathball and stand, yes stand right next to us and shoot our targets.

This contest proves how horrible the game modes in this are. How insanely... purely... unbridled... UNCREATIVE the developers of this game are blows my fheking mind apart. We couldn't possibly have any different game types than existed at the launch of fooking World of Warcraft? You can't do any better than that like a decade later? Fale.

Oh wait, the WoW analogy is too great a compliment because we don't even have a WSG match type.

It doesn't matter if you make a new map if it's exactly the same gameplay as every other map!

Even game modes aside it's like if it didn't get crapped out of FASA it's not even on the plate unless it can be sold for money and then it's either useless or OP.

Well I really enjoyed the challenge, which took last night and a couple of hours this morning.
I have no cockpit stuff, because I cant justify spending my MC on anything that does not improve my chance of winning or get me a new mech.

I did not see too many cap rushes. I did 2 cap rushes after we looked dodgy, so hardly a rush, and I dont think it worked anyway.

I think the prize is pretty cool, but I think it should be more unique. like have todays date.
Also, I would love the prize to be a paint or cammo, because i want one but again can't justify the real money it costs at the moment.

I definately played about twice as many hours in the last 24hrs as i usually would, to hurry and win.

Very sad that i dont get the holo until the end. I wanted to brag and show it off before the challenge ended, as I am often last man standing.

great idea though.

Also, I am not getting dropouts etc, and I am in outer Mongolia with about the worst ping you can get and still play, so not sure how you USA/Canadians on mega broadband are having problems. [not a criticism, I just dont get it].

While I am here; my LRMs now seem ineffectual. however others still seem devastating to me.
And I hate the rocking so I cant see anymore.

Love the game!!!

How about a contest for people like me, "25 Drops To Mechlab Contest", you better bring you A game though because I must be in the zone or something.

That's it!! It would be fair for everybody to count a crash to mechlab as a win xD
