I never has this error before since i had start playing 8 moths ago.
And also i cannot hit fast moving mechs anymore since 5 AUG patch.

My ping is 300+ but other seems to hit me fine when i'm use fast mover.

this has just started happening AGAIN, after last patch. i agree with the above, stop making **** that takes my money (bought
Phoenix Overlord package) and fix the problem! when this game works, it really is awsome, but damn!

i tried med graphics setting, and then low. i got to play one game on low setting, but when i grouped up, crash AGAIN!
WTF

Same here, since the new patch the game is unplayable. Sometimes i been kicked out right at the start of a game, the other time i can play a whole round through and again another time it kicks me out in the middle of the game.

Try'd everything, nothing helped out. DEV Team please get this sh*t fixed!

This just happened to me for the first time about 5 minutes ago at the end of a match. Running Windows 7 here, so it can't be limited to 32 bit OS's.

General stability has declined since last patch - heck, I'm seeing bugs, like the map vanishing on the Training Grounds - that I thought were gone for good. And don't get me started on 12 vs. 12 and the need to reduce graphics settings on a decent machine less than 1 year old...

Experienced this for the first time in six months tonight, after a fresh install on a new pc! Game's never crashed on the old rig (i7 950, radeon 5870, 32gb ram)

New rig:
Windows 7 64
i5 3470
Gtx 660oc
16gb ram

Crashed after exiting training grounds on standard settings as a test run...

I started playing again recently with a fresh install and started getting this error, I haven't been able to play in a match for more than a few seconds as a result. The last time I played was earlier this year, and I never got this or any other error back then. I've tried adjusting the settings, but no luck. Specs: i5 4670K, Radeon HD 7950, Win7 32-bit Ultimate, 4gb RAM.

Never had this error over the last two weeks playing this game until the new patch and bang, it hit.

Not very nice when crashing to desktop. And the reair tool has not found any problems with the game files.

Last patch changed nothing - well, to be correct "almost nothing" - now this errors appear 80% instead of 95%...

My experience with the " cryengine error fread did not read expected number of byte from file, only 128 to 0 bytes read " and MWO, Mechwarrior Online :

OS : Windows XP 32
GPU : ATI HD 5750

I usually don't have the problem at all.
It only happens when I kill the process MOM.exe, CCC.exe and the ati2evxx.exe service.
Those are automatically run after you install the drivers with the catalyst GUI.
So those of you people who like me, want to kill "unnecessary" services/process or use Game Booster (or equivalent) : Take care !!

No crashes for me (yet)... only rarely did they ever happen and that's when I had my i3 2500k CPU during Closed Beta.

OS: Win7x64
CPU: i7 3770k Ivybridge (overclocked)
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 6800 series (overlocked via MSI Afterburner)
RAM: 8gb GSkill (overclocked)
Game settings: High (avg 38-42 FPS)

I run every program on my computer in "Administrator Mode" in the program compatibility mode... no special changes to the cfg files like some have to... hell I never dumped my shader folders or needed a complete reinstall since CB...

09-04-13 Edit: I do not have System Page Filing or System Hibernation files running, my Virtual Memory runs off 20gb of free space from a seperate HD than my system SSD.

The lock ups (this one and one with no error that just crashes to desktop) are both more common for since two patches ago. I had seen neither in months. System is a i7-3770k, 64 bit Windows7 and GeForce GTX 650 with 8 gigs of ram. Its not a weak system issue, its a product issue. How any software company can think about going to full release with issues like this is beyond me.

They need to get the last of the major features in (UI2.0 and CW) and then take a month or two to stabilize/tweak it. Everything wont suddenly get better when they add those features and directx11 support, the crashes will still be there and they will still have to find root cause but we have a released product in less than a month. Only two more patches to go.

Anyone think just the crashes will be fixed by then?

Had it happen with Win 8 64 Bit 64 GB of DDR3 Ram running at 1600. Upped my Swap file to 110 GB to see if that helps.

getting this error, tried the fix tool not working now trying the fresh install, lets see how that goes only been happening since last update, how am I going to kick Dracs if this keeps happening?

i can run very high settings in testing grounds(looks awesome) but get the crash if i try to run higher than medium settings in a match.

Did anyone with this bug, but plenty of RAM and 64bit OS, try to disable the pagefile?

Just out of curiosity

I see posts with plenty of ram and 64bit Win7 just like me, having this bug (unlike me)
I don't have that bug since I upgraded from 4 to 16 GB, but I also never had a pagefile after upgrading.

Also, I have the game on a ssd, and moved all my temp folders that windows uses on a ssd as well (just saying)

And how big is youre graphics RAM?

after setting to medium it crashes much less, but since the new patch always on alpine peaks.
as described here (http://mwomercs.com/...95#entry2733295), using the repair tool did nothing (it said everything was ok), deleting alpinepeaks.pak and using the repair tool again made it possible to get on this map in training grounds but it still crashes in real battles. it only happens with my jagermech JM6-A. would be nice if someone could help me.

EDIT: issue seems to be solved somehow. dont know why, i didn't change anything.

i see this error every time i launch match with hight(and very) textures (also set very hight effects, very hight enviroment and same obj details but it crashed only after trying to save hight and very hight textures), often on full medium settings starting match returns this error.
running on win 7 (x86)
