Just to say I'm uninstalling.
Thought I'd let you know why.
Last set of patches, great improvement in stability. Hoping you make it PGI.
But.
1. I care about maps more than 'mechs. And I'm bored with them
2. Only 2 mission types. Bored with those to.
3. I remember now that I hate the endless name calling in online games. It's rising, so had enough.
4. Last patch, I got 5 days where the match maker seemed to work. Captures went up. Kill wins were 8:3 or better almost every time. No 8:0 or 8:1 matches. People also seemed to be politer. I sure was happy. Even though my W/L and K/D were dropping, I was happy.
5. Then the match maker reverted. And I realised just how much I HATE getting steamrollered (losing 8:2 or worse) endlessly (10 of 14 matches). And that I find steamroller wins (2 of those 14) boring. So why play if I'm going to spend 80% of my time P*SSED OFF, and half the remainder feeling slightly bored. Or even 20% of my time PO'd and 60% of it slightly bored.
6. I have better things to do. I can paint, lay network cable, do my taxes, write software, read a decent book, maybe even watch some TV.
So, was kinda fun for a while, but I'm outta here.

MWO only has beta-level content now so its missing a lot of things including maps. Next time, avoid the pug chaos and name calling and join a unit. Play with a good group who will recognize you for your skills and cover your back.
Good luck. Come back in a few months and see whats changed.

BS.
This, with the possible exception of one more map(doubtful) and possibly 3 more mechs, is what the game is "going live" with, by the end of Sept '13.
Watch and see.

And when it goes live it will still only be a minimum viable product. I wasnt suggesting that it would be a completed game in the "launch, go live" classic game development sense. This is f2p that will have content added over the life of the game. The OP can come back when there is more content.

Speaking of, I really want to learn to use the cryengine sdk. I have been looking at Unity, but unity bores me.
I am turning this into a SDK thread. Does the Cry(some more) Engine use object oriented programming?
