Remember when Streak's would black out your cockpit (via smoke) and make it impossible to see/target. Then they nerfed them and it was removed. Then they patched LRM's and while the "smoke" didn't make it back in to black out your view, the "fire" or "flash" of being hit by them did. I'm not sure if anyone else noticed it or not. If you happen to be on the receiving end of chain fire ssrm's, you won't be able to see and return fire. The constant flash and cockpit shake from being hit will make it nearly impossible to do so.

The best part is that they snuck this back in somewhere during a patch and didn't bother to tell us. Now I'm not screaming to have them nerfed again, but I think the flash and shake is a bit much. Like always, they are heavy handed with the nerf/buff bat. I expect one of 3 things to happen.
#1. Nothing (most likely outcome)
#2. they fix the splash damage when they fix the spread and damage of srm's but don't change this effect.
#3. they fix this effect but introduce another bug involving ssrms in the process that won't be discovered until much later and then reported for them to fix.

For once, PGI, try and fix something right the 2nd or 3rd time, please. Thanks. Oh, and stop with the sneaky ninja patch stuff.

*disclaimer - if they did happen to mention returning this feature to ssrm's and I somehow missed it, please disregard this post. thanks.

Honestly I never really noticed it being fixed in the first place. When they claimed it was fixed I still couldn't see crap if I got hit by missiles. Plus the idea of 2 little missiles causing that much disturbance to you inside a multi ton mech is a bit silly. I could maybe see you getting shook up a bit if you got hit by 20+ missiles in a single impact, but just a few streak 2's and your mech and pilot act like you are falling apart.

Made a post about this a week or so ago, screen blur/shake/blackout is too high on LRM/SSRM/SRM, making it blackout your vision on chained hits.

Oh, your not going crazy... They even had Russ say something like "this isn't an earth quake simulator"... they said the fixed the blah blah blah setting and ECM came out and presto people stopped talking about it except for the Raven fan club... And now BAP is back combined with a missle hot mess patch and presto!

Just seems on par, they are consistently inconsistent.

When playing my LRM boat (which I haven't since the "hotfix") I frequently used chain-fire (with 4 or 5 launchers) so I could disturb my opponent's view and shake his mech as much as possible. This made it very difficult for anyone to shoot back at me and was extremely effective on opponents trying to close inside of 180m.

I feel this is unfortunate for weapons that can be boated in huge numbers. AC/20? Okay, you can only have 1 or 2 of them, a big cockpit shake is not going to effectively stun-lock you. Something you can boat 5 or 6 of? Problem.

Haven't noticed it to be honest.
