I just got killed by a Camperpult boating LRMs.

Where can I find this game that doesn't have them? It might be more fun.

Oh, SweetBabyJesus will people stop misusing the term "boating"? For the love of all that is holy, a Catapult, BY DESIGN, is an LRM platform.

It related to Battletech way before there was a computer game, unseen were pulled straight from various Japanese manga, Macros, Gundam, every single mech from the core game was basically stolen, rearmed, and renamed.

Its why I call bull shine when people say there was allways going to be the clans and there was allways going to be fed-com..etc..

If there was really all this lore, from the very begining, then there wouldn't have been the need to lift 30, or so items from others interlectual property.

You are partially correct here. There was a pretty significant timeline that came as part of the material of the original battletech game. The Houses and Kerensky's exodus were part of that original lore, although the clans were not.
