I currently have 2 hunchbacks fully basic and just bought my 3rd one. I have a question though since I don't want to keep all 3. If I were to grind enough xp on one mech till I had enough to xp unlock every elite perk then sell the mech(Still 2/3 basic unlocked total), can I still use my exp to unlock elite once I have 3/3 basic? I Basically want to avoid the master extra module slot on variants I don't like since I will sell it anyways or is there a bonus for getting 3 mech mastered as well?

Once you unlock master you can get rid of the variants you don't want as currently there isn't any benefit. Be sure to actually buy master for the one your wanting before selling the others however. It seems that sometimes it can't be bought if you sell them before getting it.

There is no additional bonus for having multiple mechs Mastered.
You cannot 'save up' enough XP to complete the Elite tier, sell the mech, and then try to complete the skills. You can't spend the XP you "saved" after you sell a mech.
Complete the Elite tier skills before you sell any of the extra mechs. You do not need to complete the Master tier on the extra mechs but you will need to complete the Elite tier before you sell them off.

You have to actually buy all the elite skills while the mech is in your mechbay.
So, for example. If you have all the basic skills, and 30, 000 xp, but sell the 4sp before actually learning th skills, the 4sp won't count towards mastery. If you do buy all elites, I assume you can sell it and it will still course nt as one of the 3 4/4 elites you need to master a medium... but I honestly do not know. I have not tried...
That said, you get like 1 mill tops for se lling a hunchback chassis (engine and other stuff is sold separately). You should really never sell a mech, it's not worth it :-). $8 will get you 4 mechbays.
The one thing that is good is that skills never go away once purchased. So you can definitely sell once you've mastered the other one. And two elite hunchbacks count towards unlicking master on other mechs (but you'll still need to basic 3 f them. Still, major time saver).

Redshift is correct - you have to purchase the Elites before you sell the mech - you can't do ANYTHING with mech XP (spend it on upgrades or transfer it to GXP) if you don't own the mech. You don't lose that XP if you sell the mech, it's just unusable unless you repurchase the mech.
And yes, Dan, the upgrades you purchase before selling a mech still count towards the 4/4 Elites to get to mastery.

I realize that the mech itself doesn't sell for much I'd probabgly sell the 200STD the hunches come with because I don't think of anything else I'd use it in as well. I have 15 mechs right now I much rather start mastering a few and getting rid of variants I don't like. I pretty much bought every mech in the last 2-3 sales but just getting around to playing them all.
Thanks for clearing all this up I almost was going to grind enough xp for elite skills then sell before starting my new hunchback, but a good thing I asked first.
Edit: Also one thing I was wondering, do DHS, FF, or Endo contribute to the sell value? If so how muich return does it add.

Upgrades do not affect the sell value of your mech. note that you can remove the DHS and sell them from the inventory, but there is no refund for the actual DHS upgrade.
Personally I wouldn't sell any mech ever, you never know when they might change a mech's stats or a weapon's stats which might suddenly make a previously boring chassis into a hot new ride. There may also be gamemodes later on that allow multiple mechs to be used.
