Wait, so you're saying it's wrong of consumers to hold a standard to the company providing them with a service? That the consumer should be happy with what they get when they get it, instead of holding the company to some higher standard?

Wow, whatever you're smoking, you should pass it around bro.

There are a lot of people here who think that paying customers don't deserve jack **** and that expecting proper service is akin to entitlement.

I kid you not.

It's actually rather Eastern Bloc-esque: "You will stand in bread line comrade and be thankful there is line for you to stand in!"

too busy biting off more than they can chew; too concerned with diverting resources towards ******** features no one who's registered on the forums/game wants and worrying about the "statistics" that show the hoarde demanding CoD warrior online and far far FAR too involved in spending weeks creating new paintjobs and hardpoints on mechs than adding or adjusting much more critical features.

Oh and also lets not forget ******* those features in the *** everytime they touch them/something related to them then having to revert back to the original state and take a further month to fix what they broke.

Too harsh..?

In ATD40, they seem to have changed what CW1 is too. Before is was factions etc which now appears to be CW2. CW1 is "meta game (levels, ranks, loyalty points etc)".....loyalty points - How can you get these before being in a faction?

Regardless of damage drop-off they're still a viable weapon. The amount of damage and legitimate kills I get with them in-game don't lie.

Newsflash, just beacuse you do good damage with something doesn't mean you could not have donw more damage and gotten more kills with a different weapon. Math doesn't lie.

Yes we all know that the pluming inside the building is messed up and the toilets are backing up and the plumers are taking to long to fix it.. But that is no reason why the painters out side should stop painting.

Remember that time PGI said things would happen by a certain date, and then they didn't?

well hit detection went to hell recently so that could be one of the reasons 12v12 was pushed back a bit.
introduction of the new test server is also in the works.
PGI or IGP should do an update on this matter even if its just a sentence.

Just out of curiosity, is 12v12 supposed to become the norm, or will it be another queue, or will it replace the 8 man queue, or what?

I believe they mention in the ATD, 12vs12 is replacing 8vs8.

All matches will drop with 3 lances instead of 2 lances. The queues will be the same as they are now, just with more people per game.

I read that as "Your 4x UAC Jagermech will become obsolete" (since I already run out of ammo when I have a good game).

That makes me very sad inside.

With missiles being on the poopy side and ammo being an issue.... (along with the hit detection issues some people appear to be having)... it seems like the meta is bound to shift more towards energy weapons.

And you know what that means...

There's a dude in Gameplay Balance I think advocating double ballistics ammo for exactly that reason. General opinion seems to be "there's 4 dudes on your team with ammo as well, so theoretically damage done per game will remain equal and you won't need more ammo".

I would be more encouraged by that thought if I hadn't had so many games where my teammates have died after doing >30 damage. Its not even always their fault- sometimes you just round a corner into a firing squad.

The only time where ammo is genuinely an issue, is that you didn't bring enough ammo to the fight to begin with. People project a 8v8 to 12v12 change as if it was a 8v1 to 12v1 change... and that's not how it works. Your ammo consumption is relative to how fast your teammates die. If your teammates are dying quickly, you will probably never have enough ammo to counter the hordes that will double team you.

You won't need much ammo when you are getting double teamed because you will die very quickly.

"Stabilizing the Mech movement code, along with bandwidth optimizations and stabilizing the HSR for all weapon types is not entirely trivial but we expect to get it nailed out in the coming weeks and this helps lay the groundwork for 12 vs. 12 along with another round of client side optimizations."

That is not good news for 12v12 any time soon. "in coming weeks" they will fix all the movement and HSR issues which will then "lay the ground work" for 12v12? Isn't this what they said back in JANUARY when we got the tweet "testing 12v12 right now it is rocks"????

or the JUNE developer post that said we would get a public server in JUNE and 12v12 would be the first thing out of the gate.

Wow.

Hm, if it did , and they would sell the IP cheap , how much money would we give for an independent kickstarter project?

http://www.kickstart...-gear-assault-0

Probably not enough. I feel bad for MekTek. IGP sucked all the stompy robot money out of the economy and gave it to Mechwarrior Tactics.....

Anyone have an answer for me as to why IGP decided to use (and pay for) completely different art for their other mechwarrior game? Instead of maybe tying them together somehow?

What many are missing is Take the money and run is the trend in bussiness these days. I cant look at any industry without finding it to be rampant. This is just a symptom of much larger issues worldwide. Our governments lie, promise and dissapoint and bussiness does to. The fact in reality both governments and bussiness have merged into Mussolinis vision should be warning to us all. I dont expect PGI to keep its promises. I dont expect any orginazation to. Welcome to the new reality. Question is how long we stand for it. Feeling very Brazillan, Turkish, etc. these days.
