I need to post that I unfairly judged Misery after its release. I stated it was clearly inferior to the 5-M. However, after changing my configuration I have an excellent brawler that can dish out huge punishment to any mech it comes up against (provided it's within 400m or so). In fact it just got me to my 25-wins needed for the 3050 holo challenge!

Here is my loadout. The AC20 and LPL are fabulous for slicing off arms and exploding XLs in vulnerable side torsos, and the SRMs are a great addition to strip armor. Plus, it has enough heat sinks to avoid overheating with judicious use of chainfiring. Sorry Misery, I was wrong about you!

Try this:

MISERY

5 large lasers
1 SSRM with 1 ton ammo
1 Gauss with 30 ammo
XL310
14 DHS total

Its no different heat management than a 5 laser stalker. The biggest difference is you can do nearly 20 damage with gauss and SSRM while you COOL your laser heat down. This stalker has a 64 damage alpha with every alpha costing only 35% heat and it cools down fast.

You literally: alpha for 64 with first shot. 2nd shot is gauss+ssrm. 3rd shot is 64 alpha. repeat.
Very few mechs survive the 3rd volley.

Alternatively you can change the gauss for:
LBX10 with 4 tons of ammo and 15 DHS total. = crit seeking monster
AC2 with 5 tons ammo and 16 DHS total. = rock the target and spray from long range ability.
