This has been stated many times by many people in many threads, but I havent seen any topics made especially for the sake of this ¨tip¨ - so here you go everyone.

2 ways to easily core the CT on ANY mech even when and if they are torso twisting.

- Shoot them in the groin area and your hits will hit the front CT.
- Shot them in the behind(buttocks/butt) and you will hit his rear CT.

Now that puts torso twisting in a bad spot - something I am not sure was intentional.
But it also means that unless your enemy is traveling sideways in which case his legs will cover the groin/butt areas - then you can easily core and destroy him fast and efficient.

Now go forward Mechwarriors, and ¨kick¨ everyone in the groin!
((atleast until and if this ¨bug¨ is fixed))

I always aim for the cockpit the CT gets lit if you miss. Call it fools gold if you want but it's a great feeling to end the fight early with as little damage taken as possible.

I aim for the COCKpit, not the groin.

As a Cent pilot I hate when people shoot me in the junk! Takes away about the only advantage my little mech has.

Go on, shoot my shoulders! You know you want to!

Please to use the correct and gender sensitive nomenclature.
Male Mech Pilot: Use the term Cockpit
Female Mech Pilot. Kindly refer to the Control Centre of the Mech as the Box Office in this case.
Thank you
And shoot all of them in the junk, regardless, of course

Hammer was referring to gender-sensitive language regarding whether it's a male or female pilot's mech.

...there's a pun I could use but I don't have a screenshot of the snake in my cockpit.

actually, the best way to core the ct easily is to load up on 4-6 ppc's and just shoot them anywhere really.

Or if you believe half the posters in Game Balance... use an LRM5 for superior CT Coring.

The gender proper terms are cockpit (male), henhouse (female), chicken coop (neutral). These are most appropriately used when referring to square warriors.

Personally if I have the option I aim at cockpit when I have over a 35 dmg alpha. Otherwise I aim at any torso or leg that is cored. If none are cored I aim CT. Too be fair though my aim is not good enough unless the enemy is moving slowly, for fast movers I can often hit, but I just go for center mass to raise my odds of dealing damage.

If a mech with a big headshot hitbox (cats, cents, hunch, even spider) overheats in front of you, do take the time to do a headshot, instead of whacking the err..groin area.

Surely you mean the "groan" area?
I mean we all know the sounds that escape one's lips after a good unfair shot

Oh yes, if you aim for the pelvis, you will always hit the legs. (in fact, not every time)
