I just recently downloaded the new update for Win 8, Wind 8.1 and when I try loading the game its fine till its shows the MechWarrior video then everything in game from there on out is red. Its like playing with a classic setting on. Any idea what this is? Possible something to do with the update? Someone told me its that the game is not set for the new w8.1 and if so when will we see a fix for this problem?

The game doesn't support Win8 at all. That it works without problems on regular Win8 is just luck. Devs have said they will have support for Win8 some time in the future. Likely after CW and Dx11.
Anyway, I thought there was a way to roll back to regular Win8 from Win8.1 ... but I was wrong. You can only re-install Win8 from scratch.

Well looks like I won't be playing mwo then time to retire my mwo account cause I am not going to stop playing it for a month and then reinstall it. To bqf it was a good game while it lasted.

On this, search is your friend, be it with MWO or other games since the rollout of 8.1 for Nvidia users. Are you using an Nvidia card? The stereoscopic 3D was turned on by default with the Win8.1 or use Cntrl -T. Other users had installed/reinstalled newest Nvidia drivers which turned off the stereoscopic for them.
