Personally, i find the non-humanoid Mechs to be much more appealing. Im very excited for the new mech the Stalker! I also really like the look of the Cicada and Jenner.

So what do you think?

Humanoid (ish) mechs are better balanced. Though my PERSONAL "ideal" mech shape is, yes, the Timberwolf. Combining the humanoid and non-humanoid into a solid form.

Can we get an option for both? Because I like the Stalker and Jenner, but I also really like the Centurion and Cataphract. For me at least you can't just blanket say non-humanoid is better/worse than humanoid. It depends on the individual BattleMech.

Hmm. I like both types, so I guess I choose C. Both types can be attractive.

Thor and Loki are my favorites... Though Centurion isn't far behind.

I prefer chicken legs.

Most humanoid mechs just rub me the wrong way. As do quadrupedal 'mechs.

Depends on the mission. Raiding for weapons and ammo, then a humaniod mech. Assulting a base to destroy it, then a non-humaniod would do just as well.

I know this game is not very realistic (because mechs are impraticle) but i think the chicken walkers tend to be more realistic.

I will say that the Atlas is realistic too.
That is because it is more of a terror weapon, and less of a practicle weapon (but still very effective).

Like a flame thrower: you WILL think twice before attacking. :)

The Atlus is what i would expect if The Jugernaut and a Heavy Gunsniper were to have a baby. 0.0 scary to run into.

EDIT:spelling

Hmm.. Arms come in handy :) (Correct me if I am wrong but there is a penalty for righting a mech without arms when you fall down in the board game?) Also ****** and grab raids just seem intuitively harder to me.. and sometimes having your head near your centre of mass makes unintentional headshots more likely.. Also, IMHO, reverse-jointed mechs would logically have trouble negotiating steeper inclines and descents, but offer a steadier ride at speed and thus better accuracy when firing on the move, though these factors have not been really reflected in the games and TT rules.. Having said that, it has never been a factor in my choice of battlemechs. =P
If i had to choose, I would pick humanoid mechs as they are the most practical and aesthetically pleasing bipedal design. =D
PS i didn't know s.n.a.t.c.h was a rude word. No offence intended.

I like the Humaniod ones best: because they're the ones that have the most physical attack options in TT. . . From a Asthetic stand point it varies mech to mech I don't have a strong preference. And that will carry out here in this game as well. I am holding out for physical attacks, and Mech melee weapons, so will probably pilot a humaniod so in case that option opens up to me I won't have to start over with a new mech. . .

reason for edit: grammer. . .

I am a fan of the chicken legs. But I am even more of a fan of the legs that are on the Nova Cat. Not sure what you would call them, Demon legs?

how does a timberwolf look even remotely humanoid?
inverse hinged legs, head is in front of body, not top
no hands, it looks every bit a murder machine and not humanoid at all to me... I don't get it...

Personally I like the inversed hinged legs better, and trying to make mechs look overly humanoid usually makes them look silly IMO.

Chicken leg and quads, for some reason the humanoid Mechs just look like oversized '70s power armor.
