Dearest Jager pilot,


I understand that you love your dakka. Who doesn't? Dakka is a wonderful thing to see and hear. I also understand the need to maintain maneuverability while under fire. If you feel the need to move behind me to get to cover or to mitigate a little incoming damage onto my Mech, that's fine. I'm willing to take one for the team, and you already provide so much for the team that I'm happy to help.

I do have one request, though.

If, when you move behind me, you could let go of the trigger I sure would appreciate it. I'm not a big fan of friendly Quad AC2's pummeling into my rear armor. I find it especially irksome when I'm already taking fire intended for you.

Generalization fail. Not all Jagermech use 4 AC2.

I don't keep my triggers down. My dual AC/20s are a little too ammo hungry to begin with.

But I might also ask, instead of assuming I am moving behind you, maybe pay attention to who YOU are walking in front of, as, I do have limited ammo, and prefer to use it on the other team, not teammates with poor peripheral awareness.

yeah i notice that too- all set to line up an alpha on an unsuspecting mech about 200m away and a heavy decides to walk in front of my firing line. so i move to one side to get a clear shot...and they go the same way.

granted i'm probably guilty of being that person in my mediums- the closer i am the less time i have to spend in front of their guns while circling them. i am working on going the long way around when the mech i'm after is being focused fired on though.

did have one match yesterday where i was trying to fight a caraphrat and hunchy in my blackjack who kept working to get me between them so i couldn;t shield my damaged side. and the multi-AC2 friendly was peppering all three of us. i can;t be in the way of both the enemy mechs at the same time- really you don;t have to go through my mech to get to them

Dear everyone. I would like you to know that I pilot a Yagerbomb, and I cherish the time that dakka and I have together.

I humbly make this request; if my dakka and I are having a moment, don't walk in front of us. We won't see you coming, as dakka is quite demanding and requires a lot of attention. If you do walk in front of us, having ignored the subtle dakka indicators (such as explosions exploding out of barrels, and a ballistic orgy of noise) don't become anynoyed if I refuse to relinquish the moment to indulge your current movement fetish.

Actually, try not to walk in front of us at all. If we are standing still, we may be contemplating dakka. I currently do not have the capability to unleash backwards dakka, and would suggest that you take advantage of that when overtaking.

The best solution for this is to ignore rude behavior. Just act as you would if they weren't there, and the problem will go away.

Same could be said for Beamer lovers. Holy crap I have lost count of how many times I have been shot in the back by my own teammates using me as a meat shield while trying to attack the target that I am shooting at. I am sorry kids, but my Heavy Metal is not an Atlas, I don't play a meat shield nor do I want to be used as one.

Although I too am guilty occasionally, I find that most people have absolutely no concept of "firing lanes" and will eagerly walk in front you to shoot something or to get the kill. Almost all of my TKs are from someone moving into my lane right as I unload a high damage pinpoint alpha.

So please people, think about what you're doing, where you're at, where your teammates are, and what they might be in the process of shooting before hitting the "WASD" keys.
