It struck me that this game dosn't have the option to save a build for your robots to quickly return to after changing to another build, I think having an option within the ballpark of a drop-down menu listing off builds you've saved to quickly change your robot's build without the hassle of going through the heat sinks and armor and such would be a good idea, even having it save client-side or something. This feature should have probably been implemented by now as it stands, given the experience limiting nature of mechbay slots and manually changing between builds on a single mech constantly. I know they say this will be implemented in UI 2.0 but a little something now can't be too hard to throw together for everyone's huge convenience. Besides, UI 2.0's indefinite release date can't be anytime soon, tbph and a vague promise of an implementation dosn't sit well after months have already gone by.

As long as I have the parts, I should be able to save a config and load it up at will. You can do it in mechwarrior 3, which is about 800 years old.

Given that it's 'just' an interface change, well, UI 2.0 is also 'just' an interface change, and I am guessing there is a lot of work going into it. Every issue is important to someone, I know, but releasing something means spending weeks sending it to QA, updating the code and patching, and every time you create a patch, that's time spent not working on the game. Probably best to wait it out another month; in the mean time, do what I do and use smurfy's MWO:Mechlab to create your loadouts and then save the links to them in a text file.

This has been announced as an intregral feature of UI 2.0, together with renaming mechs and resorting your hangar. :)
