When did they reduce the Jam duration to 2 seconds? They're great when they work, but this patch they're fine even when they jam.

I don't remember that from patch notes, will have to try it.

This happened a while back, I think... Don't use a lot of UAC, so I wouldn't have noticed a recent change.

I used Triple UAC Jager-S extensively this patch but the jam time is still long, definitely not 2 seconds.

Tried it now in Testing Grounds.

It certainly feels very short...about 2 or 2.5 seconds plus the regular cycle time.

When firing 2 of those ( i have dual UAC on 3 of my mechs ) i rarely seem to have both jammed for more than a second when just holding down the trigger.

From a few days before the patch til now i played none of my UAC builds so i wouldnt have noticed this either.

This must be a mistake.

EDIT:
Or they reintroduced the random unjam timer.

You know I tried a triple uac jager-s, and found the quad ac5 to work a lot better. Have you tried both, out of curiosity?

I haven't tried Quad AC5, due to fear of ammo shortage. What is your build?

I don't specifically remember right now, but 4 uac5's, I think an xl300, and the rest ammo.
it's not a rambo mech, but if you flank a target while it's engaging your team you just *eat* away at their armor. I've noticed that chain firing the ac5's give you uninterrupted fire and they don't seem to be able to shoot back at me when I'm doing it (cockpit shake?) but it's pretty useless against lights.
