I primarily pilot lights and asaults.

As a light pilot:

When I cap, I get flamed by the defending team for what amounts to being faster than they are and using my intelligence to exploit their tactical failure
When I don`t cap, I get flamed by my own team for not capping.
When I don`t cap, almost inevitably I hear "base is being captured" very soon after I could have started.

Seriously, people bitching and moaning about hiow lights are "dying out", then they turn around and ***** at the light pilots and them doing what they`re supposed to, and then they wonder why light pilots are "dying out", completely oblivious to the 400 ton elephant in the room. The obvious fact that their own actions and statements have directly helped to cause what they now consider a "problem".

Which is why pilots like myself that DO still pilot lights are almost universally of the mindset of "**** and L2P, n00b" everytime a "I`m mentally incapably of understanding game objectives and want to play Hulk smash Robots" thread like this one pops up. We're for the most part flat out sick of all the whining, and getting flamed by some ****** no matter what we do and how we play.

Forgot that I posted this, but kind of glad that it stirred some discussion. I think the capping has gotten a lot less annoying with the introduction of 12v12 matches, you can actually split up without being completely owned by the oppsoing team and of course the increased capping times help. ... hmm anyway got bigger fish to frie, back to the 3pv/IPG should burn in hell-thread, YAY!!

Nobody will read this, I know.

Today we had a feel trolls playing MWO just to cap. I saw one of them saying "NEXT MAP'', so...

BTW i got 25 k cBills that match. I wish we had a voting feature and to enable the cap to enemy's base the voting would need 75% yes

I like capping. I don't like straight up DM, it's uninteresting, and completely archaic, it's been sone by all the COD clones out there, there are a million games for you to play. If anyone wants that, just start up COD, or any other game that thought their forum trolls decided the way the game was made. I stick with this game, because, there is no DM mode, there is no "Oh, I just kill things and respawn" mode. You should be thankful, if it were, alot of good players probably wouldn't be playing it. The main problem is players ignoring the cap. If they would defend the base, they would get all the carnage they want. Defend, learn to hamper lights, and foremost, have fun. I understand that many of you people have decided that you do not have fun when you have to concentrate on more than one thing. "Wait, I have to consider the base being capped? I can't just run in a straight line until I find someone? I have to defend? Other games I've played from activision aren't like this!". I do sympathise with you, but I think the game is fine as it is. Just try to do more than pew pew and the game will actually get more interesting.
