Worth Having Ams On An Atlas D-Dc?

I'm trying to maximise the damage it can deliver. Despite the usual ES and DHS upgrades, I feel like it's under-punching a bit in terms of damage delivery.
Given it has ECM, do you think I also need AMS? I'm thinking I could perhaps put those extra 1.5 tons to better use?

So if think you die more than you should bring it , it will extend your in game life. If however you are good at battlefield information awareness don't.

I think you should check if you've unlocked speed tweak. Because I use a 350 engine and I get 62,4.
If you devide 62,4 by 1.1. You get 56,7 btw.

That is a very good idea. I may go with Streaks too, thanks.
I'm pretty sure I'm moving at 62kph with speed tweak.

The Atlas is simply a beast in soaking damage ... especially when you master effective torso twisting so you can spread incoming damage all over the Atlas. Yes, the Atlas can pack a punch, and they can get high scores ... but that is not their *role*. Their role is to be a focus target, soak damage, and keep going so your team mates can focus down and kill multiple targets in the time it take the other team to kill you.
ECM is mandatory, AMS is good, but optional.

I think you just said ''forget Atlases and go play Stalkers and Highlanders''

This should answer your question : http://mwo.smurfy-ne...fd77c055dd8fe0d
This mech is an extremely capable brawler and a very fun mech to drive. Idea from SniperCzar and ams is helpful in certain situations. For example, [Richard] *** light mech comes from behind while you are beating a heavies *** and crits ur left torso, ecm dies, but frontal armor is still fine and torso is still hanging on, ams can back you up where ecm has failed you. You turn ur chubby *** around and **** the **** out of that raven for his insolence and walk happily to the enemies base and kill whatever afk d-bags are left. THE END. Also i ran a slighty weaker version of this on an atlas RS because i had one at the time and it was so F***ING fun crushing any who oppose(other than those pesky energy snipers but you can't win em all) i also broke 800 damage like three games in a row which is always a good sign. TY for your time - TANG OUT
