Why Stop The Founders Program Before The End Of Beta?

I thought I'd signed up for news about this game ages ago and added you to my safe senders list, but since I never heard about the founders packs or the launch of open beta, I must be mistaken. I was only brought here a few days ago by word-of-mouth.
Yes, I read in my researching (I was like, "I wonder if they have a founder's pack offer?") that it was extended once. I very much doubt you will bring it back. But I'm letting you know there's still at least a little demand. I can only speak for myself.

- 4 mechs bays
- Yen-Lo Wang
- Ilya Muromets
- Heavy Metal
- 60 days of premium time.
----
Now mind you, I wouldn't spend it all at once. I'd get the 180 days premium time and mech bays. Then I'd play trial mechs untill I found a chassis that I like and master the variants. The combination of premium time and the cadet bonus will give you plenty of CBills that will allow you to buy your first chassis quickly. Only after that I'd look into buying a Hero mech.
If anything, don't spend MC on things you can buy with CBills unless you absolutely don't want to spend the time playing the game to acquire the needed CBills.

I can't see why they wouldn't bring it back as something else but it shouldn't have the founders tag and associated miscellaneous fluff perks - there is a reason it was considered a founders pack after all.
Hauser has the train of thought, but I think his idea is a bit too much of a bargain as it stands, though I haven't did the math.

The whole point of founder`s packs was to get enough money to get the game rolling, and it could almost seen as a "donation in good faith" by the people that did so, because they had zero guarantee that they would ever get their money back. As a reward for their trust, they got a few mechs, some premium time, and some MC, and teh lecgendary founders get a place in the credits.
As soon as the game went open beta, that changed, you are now very much guaranteed that you will be able to use your MC and mechs, because the chances of the game suddenly stopping tomorrow are almost zero.
I do not in any way see how or why one should provide an equal reward to anyoine at this time. If they were to announce a Clan Invasion pack or similar soon, it would still not be the same thing, because the chance of not getting your money`s worth is again close to zero at this time., and teh implementation of the Clans has been firmly promised, so there is no "insecurity" aspect.
To be honest, I would not be surprised if said invasion pack never comes into existence for exactly this reason, becasue it is no longer a "lend me money and I will do my best to make it worth your while" situation but a "if you want something, then just give me money and I`ll sell it to you" situation. A "bundle deal" for clan mechs is probably about as far as it will go, and I would not really expect them to be "buffed" in any way (xp or c-bill boost), and definitely not a place in the credits of the game
But again, the Founder`s Packs as such are a "reward" for those that believe(d) enough in the Devs to invest money with no security or guarantees. I see no reason to offer the same reward to people signing up over a year after the packs were introduced, 6 months after they were stopped (after being extended at least once, can`t remember if there was a second extension or not), and most importantly 6 months after they became irrelevant from a trust and fundraising perspective.

I joined up right after the founders program ended. I joined as soon as I found out I could and I wish I had signed up sooner. I also have spent just as much money as a founder, but without the risk. If they made another founders program all the original founders would scream and rightfully so.
The best we can expect from this point will be the weekly deals and buying hero/champion mechs. I see no reason for a clan invasion pack.

To the OP: there were plenty of emails sent about the Founder's program, and the extension. Chalk it up to a glitch in the matrix I guess.......those of us from closed beta were getting emails, and had forum posts in our faces daily, AND the launcher had the ever present Founders ad for months ........... I'd guess a few emails blew past you.
Unfortunately, Founders packs are gone.. the game has been 'Founded' after all......
