Enjoy them now as they 're good practice for when the Warhawk enters play. These will do the same damage with better heat.

Deadly, yet easy to kill with teamwork, pugs much harder.

Until there is a Tsunami of tears and they get nerfed into the Chickenhawk.

I can't be bothered to pilot some thing this unimaginative, this kind of build is killing this game.

Get a real mech, get some brawler weapons on it and fight like a man.

The 4PPC variants are much scarier, still enough dmg/shot to severely injure (or headshot) plus much improved cooling and perhaps SSRM backup weapons.

I just don't think you should be able to boat these kind of weapons.

I like the MW4 way of criticals, yes you may have 3 energy points but only 5 criticals. Much more balanced IMO.

I dont have any problem with theses....just dont stay in open ground and close up to fight him at close range. Sniper exist and will always exist....its a part of the game. Like LRM fire support mechs.

I have one 4 er ppcs stalker (with large laser and will make it on this account too when i ll have the cbills) in my other account and loving it. And i know that they can be a formidable weapon....but cant brawl. Its a choice you make.

Problems arise when you get stuck on a map like Alpine though.

I'm pretty sure that period of Alpinemaline hell has given me PTSD.

Well on the ngng podcast the devs mentioned an incoming heat tax on using multiple ppcs, can't exactly remember what he said but I think every weapon fired after the second exponentially increases the heat produced making boating impossible.

I look forward to it as it'll bring some skill back into the game, pulling the trigger twice to kill something really is lazy.

boating is soon to be a thing of the past. New heat rules in the works when it comes to having the same weapon types equipped/fired. As well as penalties when you cross the shut-down threshold. Say bye to you internals with PPC boating alphas.

The stalker 3F can be easily configured to carry 6 PPCs and 4 SSRM's and still has enough heat management/capacity to fire off 2 alpha volleys.

At 72dmg per blast this thing is insane.

The new heat rules needs to be looked at very carefully. While I am all for taking out boating of PPCs, 4x ML are fairly common and effective as it is now. Taking that out too as collateral damage seems unnecessary.

Crap! All you need is hardpoint restrictions and a lobby with dropweight limit (and of course somehow balanced weapons)...
et voilà, the number of these cheese-build assaults will decrease by a huge amount.

Imo that would be the fairest and easiest way to solve the problem!

I liked the Sarna links description of the Warhawks main armament and the fact it couldn't alpha them with 20 clan double heat sinks. You could alpha that fine in MWO.

"In its primary configuration, the Warhawk has an impressive arsenal of long range weapons which were centered around four ER PPCs. While unable to fire all of the ER PPCs at once it could use a volley fire strategy to manage its heat"

So it could only fire them on a chainfire equivalent.

4 clan ER PPCs does the same alpha damage as 6 inner sphere PPCs. With 20 clan double heat sinks this mech will hit as hard as the 6 PPCs stalker but probably have the same heat management as the more efficient 4 PPC stalker.

This is what really worries me, and is something I think the whiners might be overlooking. The cry babies are always going to get killed by good builds, so risking this type of collateral damage just to placate them would be very unfortunate.

It'll probably make the Hunch-P and Blackjack 1X a bit sad. Then again, those are some of the "good variants" of those chassis for a reason.

Not contributing to foeum PVP but I have 4 Stalkers. One has the 4 ERLL build which is fun. Chainfire group 1 and Alpha group 2. Simple, effective, dangerous and a lot of fun too.
