Years of repetition have created this one amusing moment that I would like to share:
It was Memorial Day this year and my wife and I were at the hospital for the impending birth of our fourth daughter.
In the final moments before the delivery, our family Dr. went over the details of how, after the child was born, he would hand me the scissors and I would cut the cord, then hand the scissors back to him.
Dutifully to form I acknowledged having received and understood his instructions by saying "copy that".
I turned back to my wife to catch her looking toward the ceiling giveing a half snort half laugh....
A few moments later our daughter, Taryn, was born. I executed my instructions to the letter. Mission accomplished...
