ER lasers don't seem to have their place in the game, so I propose a damage increase. Not big, just a slight-moderate increase. In lore the ER laser was really mostly a amped up laser, which explains the increase in damage. Because of their heat increase for a exchange of slightly more damage, I think regular lasers will be predominate in short range.

Increase Er Lasers' Damage.

I disagree; they have a place. However, you're right that they need a buff. But again, I think reducing discharge time for a tenth of a second or so would have the desired effect.

That could work too. Just throwing ideas around. They do need a buff for the increased heat. Look at ppc's, the ER gets no minimum range.

This idea is worse than communism.

I think they would be more widely used if they had a slight heat reduction

ER lasers should have a shorter burn time but a longer cycle time so that the total rate of fire is the same as standard lasers. Burn time is the best way to represent the increased accuracy of ER lasers relative to standard ones.

I think that would lead to people no longer using standard large lasers.
I don't think they need to do anything with ER Lasers; they are just about right as they are and remain in the spirit of the TT rules.

i dont believe the ER Large Lasers require any tweaking. they are formidable as they are, thanks to their incredible range and ease of use. I dont want my beloved ER Awesome to get nerfed because they tried to change them and everyone went crazy over it.

Except they don't have increased accuracy.....
Except they do. Their short range is longer, their medium range is longer. That makes for increased accuracy at ranges where the standard laser is already in its medium or long range bracket.
