I think there is general agreement that the jumpjet shake was a failed experiment. However, some still want it. Now for all of you who support the jumpjet shake (aka people who don't use jumpjets and relish in the fact that jumpjet users, not just poptarts but light mechs as well now have to puke between matches), please explain to me why one single jumpjet should shake as much as 5.

Don't forget, the duration doesn't change!

The spider was voted and known by almost everyone as the hardest mech to play and actually be useful in. It was one of my favorite mechs and has been turned useless with this JJ nerf. The whole point of the spider is to fly all over the place and shoot. nearly 80% of my shots were taking while in the air.

More JJs should actually increase stability or something. You would have to commit to more tonange to actually make it viable (thus somewhat indirectly lowering the alpha capability of a mech, but not in any significant measure).

Am I just wrong thinking that the Heavy Metal shouldn't have completely useless JJs when you can fit 10 tons worth of them on that mech?

Really? How did you come to this conclusion? From what i can read on these forums and in game, the majority seems to like it.

You have to create more thrust with less jump jets, per jump jet, to create the same lift as a platform with more jump jets. So 1 jump jet should shake more then 5 jump jets actually.

they shoudl have just put more thought into it.

make it more realistic.
make it different depending on weight.
make it different depending on number of jjs equipped.

though to be fair i think they just rushed it out to fix the meta. they will go back and add these things

Its getting reduced anyway due to the headache factor.

Redundant thread is redundant

I am still as effective in my JJ lights, i just spend more time on the ground..
that being said, why isnt the shake cumulative? iow, 1 second JJ burst should have less shake than 3 second burst and so on.
IOW< the longer the burn the higher the shake.
