Previsions On Tomorrow's Patch?

I, for one, have no idea what tomorrow's patch might contain. All I hope is that it's mostly focused on weapon balance cough**SRMs**cough*LRMs**cough.

Time to impress me PGI.

*that awkward moment when I suggest:* I think the Firebrand Hero JagerMech will bring much direct-fire to the battlefield for a while... the release of the BlackJack and Hero Jager will definitely get lots of people in Gunnery Mechs. I know I'm getting one, because I own 2 Jagers and the Firebrand will make a nice 3rd.

HOWEVER.. I can't confirm a Firebrand release. It's just my guess, as it's been on the game's Homepage for a while now.

I don't know about SRM tuning adjustments, though. They've been mulling damage and splash numbers since working the new flight patterns in, but I don't know if they've deployed anything yet.

PGI should/could actually shock the community if they either A) added a game mode that allows for players to fight companys/ 2 lances against the players of their choosing which would for once allow Merc unit vs Merch Unit/house vs house battles. ;) Information on the Meta Game.

Both of these things are LONG over due

Aside from the hope that the patch will focus on weapon balance, the OP is far more about what's coming up than it is about balance discussions.

For all my love of LRMs, SRM spread needs help much more. It's a key to the viability of medium and assault close range mechs.

Maybe a miracle, and the hit registry or often lack thereof will be addressed....not like it's a new issue.

Syllogy keeps that one updated quite well with what's happening, and has been doing so consistently for quite some time now. It's where I go when I want to see if I missed anything that's been announced.

While we're wishing for ponies and space shuttles, I'd like to be pleasantly surprised by a change that increases rate of fire for all autocannons DRAMATICALLY while proportionately decreasing their damage per shot (and giving them a bit of a ammo/ton increase).

Another PPC 'mech for the PPC Gods, if they don't fix missiles. This is really getting old.

at the very least, I'd like to see a fix on the damn server delay we're getting.

OR

HSR for missiles

if either of those are the only things in today's patch, I'll be satisfied.

Nothing bores me more at the moment than "one more hero mech and a tweak to [insert long-broken thing here]"... bleh.

btw - I know we're not getting ANY of that. But thats kinda my moan today. ;)


Hopefully community warfare is going to BLOW MY SOCKS OFF. If it's as underwhelming as this Beta has been - I'm done.

I foresee ppc's to the core for the next ~4 weeks before they will be made useless and missiles op again.

I need to be useful for my teammates out there again. So if the SRM spread isn't like it was pre-patch May 21st, certainly can't see me playing MWO for a long while. I'm not going to settle playing in an unbalanced f*ckfest nor am I willing to partake in FoTM meta shift changes. Never did.

Wow. You got it down to SRM's your way or the highway? Good luck with that.
If you do succeed, and other see that whining about, or feinting leaving actually works, your SRM's will not do you, nor your Team any good anyways, as all the other will then get their way, via the same process, and "your way" will again fall by the wayside. ;)

It's not a question of I need SRMs my way. PGI drastically changed the SRMs flight path, when that wasn't even the issue to begin with. Pre-patch was fine with the exception that SRMs & LRMs needs splash damaged removed.

Just venting. I'm not the first, nor am I the last. That's why I can't blame most for doing so. Should be used to it by now.
