Got stuck? Fell through an invisible hole in the earth? Weapons passing through phantom objects? All Map Collision / Stuck / Fall Through World / Shoot through Object related posts go here!

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
  • The map affected.
  • The grid tile affected.

Got stuck

co-ordinates unknown

blackjack BJ-1 reversed down hill and got stuck between wall and bridge supports on upper city side of river

Probably not helping since I can't provide coordinates. Anyways... just had a match where an enemy got stuck on a wall in Tourmaline. He was "bouncing" in place. For some reason my LRM's also seemed to target a point quite a bit below him (just couln't hit him).

It is possible to drop into this space, but while you can move a meter or two in any direction it is inescapable without jumpjets.

how about hit box clipping? the rock column in C3 on canyons is pretty bad. large lasers clipping a pretty large empty space along the sides of it. fixable?

Went through canyons in the training ground I believe a very high proportion rocks need to have there hit boxes adjusted most affected are those which seem to have had a section removed to make firing points

Got stuck on one of those crystalline outcroppings there. Big hole there, I couldn't get my fat Atlas leg out.

Could you smooth that area out a bit?

Stuck to a structure. Could not move and could only turn torso. Lost the match because of this.

Tourmaline in grid C7: 4955.8 / 5191.5 / 344.7

I also lost use of leg twist, could only swivel the torso. With the rocks providing cover for my back (essentially having unlimited back armor) and with some other parts well covered with rocks, I became, essentially, a stationary base defense unit with some excellent defillade opportunities looking down on the approaches to the 8 line. I can *only* be attacked from the front in this position. I guess a good JJr might try to DFA. Otherwise, dug in like a Alabama tick. There is a similar point at the base opposite, but that one is built up with a road and improved. This side needs to be improved, too, to balance the map. IMHO.

River city night has got to be the buggiest map of all.

buildings on this map are apparently covered in fishhooks and flypaper. It's getting old. I appreciate the attention to fine detail like statues and railings and other frippery, but it makes people dread playing the map. It makes me dread playing the map.

Atlas DDC, stuck on canyons grid D4, position 2111 1601 209 (rough coordinates, they fluctuated)

I was attempting to crest the slope, but got stuck on my way.

I could not get my jump jets recharged, as it behaved like I was not actually touching the ground. This occurred for the 5D spider.

Fell inside the mountain on Alpine and was stuck - POS: 4151.8 3839.1 911.3

My legs are basically inside the mountain. This occurred for my 3H Stalker.

This caused the next image on my death, where I fell inside the mountain.

This time for my 4N Stalker.

Verified again, but this time I took screenshots right before, so you know where to travel down the mountaintop from.

I ended up getting stuck in the same spot as the first time - POS: 4151.8 3839.1 911.3

Recently, I was hopping down from the base on the Forest Colony Map, and was stuck while "falling". POS: 1548.1 2331.4 186.8

My friend said it looked like I was bouncing up and down in the air. The coordinates jiggled a bit, but it was that basic area. This happened to the Stalker 4N

Another one for Forest Colony. I was watching another player, and he got stuck on the hill with the radio tower. POS: 1895.8 2307.9 222.0

Toranagaaa was the one stuck, he was piloting a BJ-3. It looked like he was bouncing up and down. More than likely stuck "falling".

Can't you just add a stuck detection algorithm?
If mech can't move forward & mech can't move backwards & mech can't turn => mech stuck
If mech stuck => move mech up 5 m
If collides with terrain OR mech stuck, repeat.
