We told you not to buy Heavy Metals. We told you PGI wasn't going to fix jump-jetting alpha strike poptardery until after they had already gotten your money. But you didn't listen.

It's true, at this point if you can't spot PGI's cheap tricks from a mile away than you probably deserve to be ripped off. We all know they bow to forum rage even if it makes 0 sense. We all knew this day would come.

By Kerensky's word, this is a glorious day. All the bad poptarters are falling off and declaring it dead.

LONG LIVE THE SKILL

Well It takes a hell of a skill now.... but guess what instead of pressing SPACE you can press W and then D and do the same with a stalker in arm mounted weapons. WOW I probably told you something new.

You'll be seeing that alot now, don't worry.

This is a good development. Jump jetting caused a +3 gunnery penalty in tabletop. In a 2D6 system +3 is huge. This is a needed improvement to the meta.

Its a laughing matter, just try it, even the phract 3D, you LoL your *** off, its like a negative LRMageddon, lol.

We'll see what happens after work, but it's going to take a lot to get me to say they went overboard. After sitting in the 732 for the better part of two months, I haven't exactly developed a favorable impression of poptarting.

You said it again?!

Are you broke or something.

You can't have your cake and eat it too, in fact, instead I would recommend going heavymetal on the ramen for the next month if you're cutting it too close to call on the rent.

And just for you Soy, I am broke, I didn't buy it with my own money, it was a gift... FEEL MY PAIN

Its the same classic LRM/SRM overboard nerf/buff thing, something that only PGI can reproduce in the industry, even with playtesters on hand.

So you bought a hero mech so you could abuse the current meta with cheap pop tarding and are now complaining about that you can't do your cheap magic anymore (for the second time already)?
Awwwwww, I enjoy your delicious tears!!!

There I said it. Its atrocitous. I didn't sign up for this garbage. Back to 5ppc stalker, eh.

Not buying another mech for $$$ soon with PGI hitting it with the shovel in the face after one month because they fail at balancing APLHA STRIKES, so they nerf JJ.

The damn ALPHA STRIKE nerf would help against the poppers just as much because who the hell chain fires in the air... WHAT ARE YOU DOING???? You still have to do an alpha strike nerf... (Why do I have to write this?)

Its so funny, even if you have a 3D, just try it.

The pilot seems to have gotten a back massager on steroids from luxury cars, I'm lolling for 30minutes now, so badly messed up, you can't even aim an MLas at 130m, but I guess its ok because most of PGI staff use sub40t mechs.

I laugh and I still use the heavy metall it is still a great mech.
Cya around.

Guys you need to read and understand the OP not just the title, because it says something completely different.

It shows and makes you look ignorant.

Jumpjets are for maneuvering into a new position fast or getting out of a hotspot - not to play Elevator Online.

I cannot remember people doing pop-up firing with jumpjets in the TT game but rather to move to a better tactical position faster than they could normally move.

Which on the other hand the jumpjets SUCK at.

We actually move SLOWER while jumping (seriously, I'm slowing DOWN in my Spider) instead of getting a temporary BOOST forward and upwards.

Add the part where you essentally STOP while landing as well...

You sure you're not missing the point of the unique variant having 5JJ?

JJ are for reaching weird places, close-range dogfights, and, in the future, DFA. Jump shake won't prevent any of that.

If you tought it was for sniping with minimal exposure to return fire, well, sorry, but PGI disagree ith you. deal with it, or leave.

Maybe now we'll have more variety that 3 Highlanders per team.

The proper solution would be to fix the real problem -- pinpoint alphas -- rather than the tactic that was best abusing them -- jump sniping.

PPC Stalkers can still core you in one hit. AC 40 Jaegers can do the same.

No one ever complained about pop-tarting laser boats, because you can at least torso twist to spread around some of that damage. There was no need to add a reticule shake and to throw off people's aim. Just make it so you can't fire all your pinpoint damage weapons at once.

My suggestion: switch autocannons to short-duration bursts (hence the word 'auto'), and make it so that if you fire multiple PPCs or Gauss rifles, the shots are staggered by a quarter second. This makes it much harder to kill someone in one or two volleys, without making jump jets a liability in combat.

STALKERS HAVE TO SEE YOU.

MY ATLASES COULD RUIN YOU IN TWO STRIKES, BUT THEY HAD TO SEE YOU, TOO! Is this so hard to understand? I don't care if the stalker lumbers out to shoot me with 6 PPCs. This is fair.

Ignoring every rule of fun ever so you can have your flying AWPs is not.
