I don't know why after a whole year, you have to press backspace for every character pressed on a keyboard. Why can't I just hold backspace to delete what I want.

Workaround for now: hit End (cursor to the end), then Shift+Home (select everything from the cursor to the start of the field), then Delete (guess what).

That is pretty insane for a work around. Even the most lowest budget CS/CoD wanna be games could at least let you hold backspace. I don't understand why this hasn't been fixed in a full year of live beta.

It's probably not on the timeline. Windows UX best practices were forgotten by 3050, so you need to press backspace once per character. Hope clan wars will fix it, i.e. when piloting a clan mech, your backspace works properly. :)

Holding backspace confirmed for lost Star League tech.

If you had a mechanical keyboard you wouldn't mind. It's very therapeutic hearing that click sound.

It's funny, because this was working at one point. No idea how this happened, or why they can't revert the chat code.

Not all mechanical keyboards make clicking sounds. Non-blue cherry switch supremacy.

PGI is really pushing terrible programming to it's limits.
