In the game the cockpit is maintained throughout the whole game no matter how much damage you have taken. I feel that if we want to make the game 10x more immerse depending on the damage your cockpit or head on your mech takes. For example you get hit my an AC/20 directly to the face. The windscreen should crack and maybe have a few wires hanging out of your controls with some sparks. Or maybe if you have some damage from a medium laser it just shows a bit of melted glass or whatever material the windscreen is made of. Feel free to post constructive criticism :D

The other thing on the list that will really boost immersion is vision modes only being applied to the windscreen, rather than the whole screen. That will be epic!

Yep their creative director extrodinare said something along that lines on twitter a while back... this will be awesome
