I know Hawken is spoken in hushed tones here, but damn, this is one hell of a controller...

I'm sure some person smarter than me will get this thing working with MWO...

Just another over priced piece of kit that will in no way make you a better mech jock. The only good thing I could see by this controller set being made to work on MWO would be that it would hopefully make Razor drop the price of the Artemis controller.
I'll stick with my trusty Saitek X45 set.

I'm not even sure something like my X52 would work for MWO. I can't see how a setup like that or Razer's would work.

I thought it would work pretty nicely. The way I see it, left stick for movement and turning, and right stick for pitch and torso twist. I'd prefer a throttle, but this just looks very cool, and reminiscent of the Steel Batallion controller. I'm definitely getting a hotas setup, we'll see if either of these concepts get to production

Your kinda late with this. But its nice to see more information on it.
I like it has a keyboard. If I'm going to have a desk sized controller I need a place for my keybourd.

I'm gonna go with Mouse and keybord. better contole, more percise aiming for long range shots and far easier controle overall for close combat. Joysticks dont seem to adhere themselves well to any type of game like MWO or anything thats similer to an FPS, less percition for aiming, and in this game, its needed.

DAMN!!!! 2 sticks moving forward and **** will take some getting use to.
But any ways MWO is miles away from Hawken, it don't matter how fancy a stick you got when your game fails to please(to me at least). Wasn't impressed by Hawken, to much thingamagic in the cockpit most of which I don't think have any practical use to the player beside aesthetics, to me its an eyesore , I like MWO clean and clear "to the point" cockpit and also *** is with the Green hue with Hawken???Its just like BF3's BLUE night....

The reason for that mad stick configuration is for an immense gaming experience. So they give you a controller that tries to go with whatever is happening in the cockpit or something.

As I've posted before, I use the Steel Battalion VT controller in MW3 & MW4 and hope to get it working in MWO. See my posts on this topic elsewhere in these forums for more info on how this is done.

The Steel Battalion VT controller is, admittedly, VERY plasticky and therefore somewhat fragile, but I have come to really like the control setup.
Check out the button map HERE:
http://vt.beckament....ler-mw4-0.4.gif
and note that the left stick only has a single Left/Right axis. This controls the direction my mechs legs are walking.
The right stick controls all "turret/torso" movement. "Look around/zoom" is done with the hat on the left stick.
All this is VERY different from the Thrustmaster FLCS/WCS/RCS setup I used for MW2. Not better/worse. Different.
It takes a lot of getting used to, but I really kinda like it. It seems more natural controlling a mech this way than the other setups. Mechs in the books had 2 joysticks for control. The addition of a separate throttle plus "gas" and "brake" also seem incredibly intuitive. I also have the jumpjets set to the left pedal and using an axis for jumpjet control makes the jets a lot more sensitive/responsive.
I have learned over the years that if a joystick has a DRIVER, you can usually configure mech games to use every button, switch, hat, and axis on the thing. The keyboard setups for MW2 thru MW4 have been very similar and if worst comes to worst, you can configure Joy2Key to make it all work. I look forward to trying...Just waitin' on that Beta Key.
NightlyReaper, Out.

pesonally i think this controller is awesome. apart from the fact that there are too many buttons. plus, sticks can actually make you less precise when aiming. I like the keyboard though.
