They don't increase the DPS. They only sound scary. So apparently they're working, since you're scared!

I don't use macros myself, and the UAC macro is cheap, but the AC2 macro? Purely cosmetic.

Thats a load. Yes they do. that inital blast they come flying at you faster and more powerful than any other AC. The cons is the heat and Jagers have weak back armor. But dont say the DPS is any different because it is as a computers doing the clicking for you. OP the defense is twist your torso and try and zig zag to nail him. More than likely he has a xl so burn it out. Also the 2x AC/5, 2xAC2 combo seems way better.

This again? The DPS of an AC2 macro is less (or at best the same) then group firing the same number of AC2's (No clicking needed, just hold down the mouse). It just "Sounds cool". You can check ammunition usage rates yourself...

Holding down the button on a macro can't possibly increase DPS, since it doesn't/can't increase the firing speed of each/any individual AC more than simply holding down the button with group-fire. If you can't comprehend that, maybe you shouldn't play online games.

It also tends to reduce damage done effectively, since it makes it basically impossible to focus the damage on a single point if the target is moving at all.

Basically, you should quit panicking like a little girl and thank them for neutering their own guns.

*Hideous laughter*

Yes and after that, let's nerf people who have more than 2 buttons on their mouse.

*more hideous laughter*

AC/2 macro is pointless; you can do the same thing without, so long as you have 3 buttons anywhere.
UAC/5 macros, on the other hand, do offer an advantage, as it allows it to be used at maximum DPS with zero chance of jamming. If they gave the UAC/5 the same recycle as the AC/5, the macro would be pointless, as it would turn it into a heavier AC/5 with less ammo.

I've used an AC2 macro once or twice, then stopped. It does sound amazing, but it's less effective than group firing. And a round every half second is still plenty dakka!

you are correct, i have macro on mine JG6-S (4xac2) and its sounds amazing and very fun to use but have lesser effect then group firing i have test this a lot, eventually i changed 4ac2 for dual ac20.
U can get better rate(max) of fire manualy with little practice then any script out there.
(Group all ac2 to firing group 1 (left mouse buton) then group again every ac2 to different froup 2-3-4-5 now u need only to press 2-3-4-5 fast as possible + LMB).I was using script to simulate fast pressing 2-3-4-5 buttons just once then its all manualy dont how that can be issue for some people to complain when chain firing ac2 in the game is broken.

The only AC macro I am using is with my 3 UAC/5 Ilya.

Normally, I chain fire them with left click and they almost never jam. However, I have a macro that will fire each one separately in rapid succession once then stop until I press that mouse button again. I use this one when I have a short window of opportunity at the target. I used to have them group fire but sometimes I forgot to lift my finger in time, so they would fire again and more often that not jam. It's essentially a group fire macro that does not repeat unless you keypress again.
