How many Hz is your monitor? You may be being held back in your fps if you are running a 60 Hz. Most say ( even mods ) that the game is capped at 60 when that really is not the case. I was capped at 60 when I ran a 60Hz monitor. Now with a 144 Hz Im looked solid at 144 fps in the mech lab and between 80-112 in game, and yes I have screen shots with the fps counter on lol. Im only running 680s. With no sli it boils down to running one 680 and still getting those numbers so you could fair well with your cards. As the others have said a Titan in a single monitor setup would be a waste.

I have a 27" Asus 3D monitor that runs at 120hz @ 1080p. Same monitor as the 144hz version but with the 3d not disabled.

i dont have a titan, but i do have 2x 670 FTW 4GB in sli, sli does not work properly as you already know, so CURRENTLY of course the titan would be much faster. but when sli is supported, the 2x 670 will be much faster than the titan. but who knows when we'll get sli support, lol...

i personally run on 6080x1080 resolution on triple sreen surround, and get 30~45fps, so when sli gets supported i'll be at 60+fps. but i know a single titan wont get me 60fps on those resolutions. a single titan would be nice for a single 2650x1440 monitor.

Only well because of the texture bugs. And yes, while 780 now is a good purchase, as I said in my post, I needed something with a fair whack of power quickly for work etc after my old computer died, and it wasn't until a while after the 780 was announced.

But to the OP, yeah, 780 is much better choice at this time

You don't think there will be new chipset for IB-e when it's released? Just like there was for IB? Sure, you could run your new IB-e CPU with the older Z79 chipset, but I doubt you'll get all the benefits of the new CPU. Just like if I ran a 3770 on my Z68 chipset board.

At this stage there is no indication that a new chipset is going to be released for IB-E, most (if not all) X79 boards will be compatible with IB-E with a BIOS update. Its likely that manufacturers will refresh their current X79 motherboard line ups, however the underlying chipset will still be X79.
