In my opinion, mech's need to generally be MUCH LESS HEAT EFFICIENT

Why? Because that would force players use smaller weaponry, and make matches last LONGER.

Someone who would otherwise support 5 large pulse lasers could support maybe only 2, being forced to fill the rest of the spots with mediums. Someone supporting 9 medium lasers would be forced to use only half of those supported by small lasers.

Everybody is also QQ'ing about the LACK of efficiency, when in fact, EVERYTHING is literally MUCH MUCH more efficient than canon.

We should be FORCED to use weapons such as MG's, SMALL LASERS, SMALL PULSE LASERS by sheer NECESSITY.

The fact that ANYBODY can one-shot other mech's is detracting massively from the game, imo

The fact that anybody can spam PPC's is detracting massively from the game, imo.

The fact that anbody can boat ridiculous amounts of the largest weapons in game is ridiculous.

The fact that NOBODY, literally NOBODY (other than the SMALLEST of mech's) uses small weaponry, is, in my opinion pointing towards problems in the core presentation of hardpoints/heat.

These small to medium weapons are for support - that extra punch - but when you can fill every spot with kick *** weaponry, why even bother??

An Atlas with Small lasers is not how it is meant to be played

I'd say the better solution would be to drop heat threshold and increase heat dissipation. Basically, make it to where shooting an alpha of 4 or more PPCs would cause shutdown, but waste heat would be vented quicker, making chainfire or simply being more conservative with weapons fire more appealing. Like the guy above said, Atlas with small lasers is doing it wrong, and so are all these QQ threads about the weapons.
