Old/New pilot looking for a home. I have a new video card on the way and will be in the cockpit soon. Any active clans that compete in league battles frequently looking for a rusty pilot?
Shoot me a message, thanks.

Are you looking to become a Clanner? Which clan do you prefer?
Or are you looking to join a House or Merc Unit?
If you do not care then you should post in the "Hiring Hall" thread in the Outreach section.

Hello,
This in response to your post in the hiring hall thread. If you are still looking for a unit to join we would like to invite you to check out our site and take a look around. Most of your questions can be answered in the recruits section but if you have more please feel free to post them. The URL is:

If it doesn't seem we are the unit for you I wish you luck in finding a unit to your liking. If need be I can recommend a few as well. Have a good day.

I guess maybe more than anything I'm looking for an understanding of the social meaning behind what entails being in a house vs a clan vs a merc. I know from the game timeline what it means, but relative to THIS environment, league play, clan/house/merc chat, online infrastructure, planetary struggles, wars, battles, how does the competitive nature work?
From what I've heard so far there's very little MEANING to the structure, just log in and play whoever?
Thanks!

Currently there is no real difference , correct. The differences will start to crystallize when Community Warfare comes.
After CW implementation, In a nutshell: Belonging to a house or a BT clan is the same thing from a gameplay perspective, just with different tech, and on different sides of the invasion. On the other hand, belonging to a Merc unit (comparable with a CS clan or WoW guild) is kind of like running your own house, and fighting for your own glory instead of directly affiliating yourself with and supporting the Factions that 30 years of Lore have more or less set in stone.
Of course there are player run "clans" within both the clan structure, and the house structure. These however have no leadership function or claim to any nameme rights or similar per se, but are to be viewed as player run sub-units of the Houses and clans.
For pure theoretical example, Russian "Clan Wolf" could decide they are the command Trinary of the Alpha galaxy as well as the Golden Keshik, whereas the German "Clan Wolf" could decide that they represent Beta Galaxy`s Command Trinary and Silver Keshik. Neither of them could lay claim to being the Khan of Clan Wolf and having any sort of jurisdiction over the other, no matter how many Ulric Kerenskys they have in their ranks.
