Basically the text top left that most people miss, player xxx has killed player yyyy etc, if player yyyy is on your team, that text should be in RED.

Or some other color to signifiy that hey, you just lost a team member. doesn't matter for teams ofc, but for pug matches I don't remember everyones name and it often leads to "situational awareness" issues lol.

i think own teammember should be shown in blue and enemy in red, kinda like in battlefield 3 where it shows the one who made the kill in the color of his team and the one who got killed too.

either way works, currently all text blends together (death and chat) and you dont even notice half your team (or the other team) died while your locked in an epic light vs light duel at some remote location .

yeah, I also have to admit i really don't know how many times I've been killed in a heated battle by a friendly because I never check to see.

It's been suggested before, but not taken seriously by PGI yet. Go figure. Maybe use "Ask the Devs" to your advantage.
