So here it is:
The 8 man drops should have a special small GXP bonus for playing. This would encourage people to join 8 mans because they can get GXP faster for modules.

I think anything that promotes large team play can only help this game.

There is no down side to this suggestion. It would just strengthen ties in the community and give purpose to form social groups and units around team play, while encouraging those already formed to play 8 mans. Those who want to solo drop will still be able to.

I’m sure CW will give benefits but at least for now there should be a small incentive to do large group drops.

Until CW starts to be phased in, this seems like a decent way to incentivize large-group play.

What? A gxp bonus for the organized players to get for rofling other teams? I play organized. And this sounds like a bad idea. Only the high end 8 men would get this bonus and the rest would be target pratice.

A pre-made 8-Man team should ONLY get the bonus when fighting against another pre-made 8-man team, if at all.

Where did you even get that idea?
The bonus says for playing, not for winning... You would still get it for losing just not as much. Like all current XP.

8 mans only play other 8 mans. That is why the 8 man groups even exists. Because they did not want 8 man premade rolling over pugs.

This will be actual full 8 man groups that can only drop against other full 8 man groups so dual 4 man sync dropping pug stompser would not be able to abuse this.

From a player's perspective (and a lone wolfer, at that) it's not a bad idea.

I do wonder what it would look like from the Dev's perspective though- In terms of how it might affect their cash flow. If they set the bonus to the right amount it could prime the pump, but if it's too low people will complain, and if it's too high it'll negatively affect revenue from the most dedicated players.

Still, I have a feeling something along these lines is in the pipeline, although it may not be in the form of GXP (think Faction points).
