Apparently I'm not allowed to have fun and use tactics in this game. After killing off 3 Mechs while capping the enemy base in a fracking DRG-5K, I retreat to take cover and wait for the enemy to leave after my team gets annihilated.

Low and behold, Impatient Underhive Bus driver can't stand tactics and calls out my position. This is why I hate dead player chat when I'm actually trying to play this game.

Plan A: Wait until enemy leaves their base with little defense. Kill off any left behind. Cap with Accelerator. Profit.

Tactics are OP. Patience is OP.

Now with bonus picture:

This hasn't happened to me in a long time, but it is indeed VERY annoying when it does happen; A total d-bag move, for sure.

Some players just get {Richard Cameron}-bent when they see that somebody didn't follow the rest of the lemmings to their death...

This happened in a match recently and I (and others on team) thought it was pretty damn lame. Traitor team mate: "He is powered down by the xyz..." "turn around you went past him."

They probably would have captured the resources and won anyhow, but if they spent their time looking for last mech, who knows we might have stayed ahead.

And this is why we can't have nice things...

Imagine if this was all real... oh wait, that's just silly. Some people like to play the role of Benedict Arnold.

Yep. Totally agree. Some people are so completely [RE-Tarded*] that they purposely throw the game by ratting-out fellow team mates. Those people deserve to be summarily executed as traitors.

I firmly believe that dead players who call out teammates positions should be banned. Did you submit a support ticket to support@mwomercs.com? This seems like the sort of thing they might pay attention to.

I had that happen one time. I proceeded to kill 4 guys out of 7 who came to my location when the guy announced my location, so I proceeded to label the announcer as "a ******* tool" between each killshot in <ALL>.

Eh, depends on the situation. If the guy hiding is/was actually fighting, and isn't just powered down to save his KDR I'll totally cheer him on.
If it's some ******** in a nearly untouched assault/heavy mech who spent the match retreating from everything even slightly threatening before powering down behind a building I'm totally going to sic the enemy on him as a form of catharsis.

If the guy's on the enemy team, I have been known to tell him where I am, that I'm almost cored, and to "come at me brah". Everyone likes to see someone go down fighting, and getting a kill or two.

[edit]I feel I should clarify slightly: I don't rat out light mechs, even if they're untouched I assume they've been either out capping or shooting people and being ignored.

im lonwewolf i dont belong to any kind of "team" or "unit" and have no obligations to my teammates, it just more profitable to kill enemy team than to kill my own team thats all to it

I play a Spider and I'm frequently the last one alive on my team. I try to win with Cap + Accelerator, but this happens to me about 10% of the time I do that, because there is some butt-hurt mongoloid who insists that if I had just charged headfirst into that Atlas who killed him with my medium lasers of doom that he would have lived and carried the rest of the game.

it happens far alot often if your team are brainlesss monkys[or probably anyways rigging to get the other side winning]
calling out a spider wich did actually 300 dmg and some kills
just because he did the choice to evade the enemy
after the whole team decided to run in and die onebyone
this douchebags should face serouis reprecussions
there isnt nothing more evil then teammates
daggering in your back while you try to do something
or just try to survive there stupidity

Agreed 100%.. It is a clear case of griefing, which is a violation of the ToS and thereby a bannable offense. Ther problem is not enough people report such conduct, so it goes largely unpunished.

When I did L-2 Support for GE, If I got one ticket every few weeks about problem (in this case player) X, it`s not a major issue. But if I get 12 tickets all at the same time, even once, it`s of significantly more importance and you could bet your lunch that I was moving to fix it at a much faster pace.

Yeah I wouldn't **** around with GE.

But, if you were working for like, oh I dunno, say... PGI..? Ha! Those tickets would be in a garbage dump somewhere! ^^

My point was the frequency. If one person out of 100 that sees a problem reports it, nothing major happens, anywhere.

When teh frequency spikes, support has no choice but to take notice and act in some way, shape or form, for example the guy that got disqualified from the last tournament (after a large outcry generated by a video recording of his actions), possibly even banned (didn`t follow it much after hearing he got DQed, as that was the important part).

But if only one person had said something, it`s very likely nothing would have happened. :(

One person calls: "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
2-5 people call: "We`re looking into it", with one or 2 people skimming over the db and logs
Entire Departments or sites call: Answering machine replies "Sorry we can`t accept your call right now, as we`re working on the widespread connectivity issue, and expect it to be fixed within (X)" :D
