I know that it was confirmed by mods on forums of both MWO and @ NaturalPoint a really long time ago that MWO would support the use of TrackIR. I know that it's not a priority, but it is a simple implementation that will add a serious amount of immersion for MechWarriors. Has anyone heard anything else about TrackIR and MWO in the past 6 months? I hope they're still planning on supporting it.

I could see how you'd assume that, but it really doesn't provide anything that holding down the freelook button doesn't already do. It wouldn't make the game any easier or harder for anyone, it would just be a nice detail for immersion's sake.
Now, in flight sims...it's DEFINITELY OP!

in Flight SIms it is IDEAL and those that cry it as OP are simpletons. Much of the OP crying for this game is those that can't grasp the concept of actually working for something and expect a "insta-win".

You can technically make trackIR/freetracknoir work right now if it's configured to mousetrack mode, but of course it's not native support and likely require a lot of tinkering to get the right setup.

Track IR insta-win? LOL
I would really love to see the Track IR fully supported and I absolutely don't think that it's OP. You can press the free look key (ctrl? I don't remember now) anytime, the Track IR would only be a more "confortable" way to do that.
I know that, I did some experiments too. However the native support it's a totally different think.
