For future challenges allow patrons that already have the reward to get an alternate one or if they have that, mc.



I think this will be a nice reward/kickback/customer appreciation for purchasing mc items and sidestep any concern for bum hurt for having purchased it earlier.

Edit: I do acknowledge in this case the item was inexpensive and offered much earlier, I still believe this to be a valid suggestion worth your consideration.

While I voted yes, it's because I agree with the principle of the OP, not the full concept. I think that the original 3050 hologram should be either tweaked in a small way to look a bit different, or the one being given for free should be tweaked instead. So that there are two different 3050 holograms.

That all being said, I don't really think the folks who purchased it originally are getting shafted or something, they got to display it nearly six months ago, back when celebrating the start of the year was more relevant. Now it's less celebratory and more just a neat looking thing. We're almost six months into 3050 as it is. xD Not that I'm complaining about a free thing. But in a bit over six months it'll be 3051 and less folks would be interested in displaying a 3050 thing.

In other words, folks who bought it will get a full 12 months with it before they might not want to use it anymore, folks who get it now will only get a little over six months before they might want to drop it from their mech.

But I do agree that it would be cool if they'd make the two distinct.

I voted yes because I would like to see paint colors as rewards (just 1 color per challenge to still make them worth buying).

That would work, wouldn't you like a different pain, or different prize, if the reward was something you already have?

Yeah, i suppose i would. Maybe the prize would be that you could choose one of the 500 MC colors for free (that way it's not a specific color that you might already have.)

How about if they specified the color but let you pick the shade? One week would be greens then next oranges or something like that.

it's cool, i was pretty sure you meant paint. Anyhow, yeah, random. You could call it the mystery box or something, you don't know what color you're going to get until you opt for it, and it makes it so everyone competing in the challenge would get a different color. Heck, i guess you could truly make it random and make it choose for the prize 1 of the cockpit items, colors, or a lump sum of credits.

Given that each item can only be in one mech at a time, I don't see a real problem with giving people things they already have. However, it would be very nice if they would have a selection of prizes that you could pick from when you complete a challenge (say, three potential items, and you can pick one once your account is flagged as having completed the challenge).
