Good day. Hunchbacks are also my favorite chassis after Koniving and everyone else recommended the 4SP. :)

I recently bought the 4P, strapped 9 MLs with STD 260 and lots of DHS. Here's my build:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7626b7315e0444a

Pretty standard and cheap but does the work just fine. I group weapon 1 for all weapons, weapon 2 with my arm lasers. No need to chain fire, pop out to deal alpha strike, do another one then pull back.

What happens is this, when you are over heating, use weapon 2 to temporary add some damage while cooling down. When a fight erupts, take opportunity to flank enemies, going for their rear or legs. 9MLs is not to be laughed at.

Lastly, learn to torso twist or protect your hunch back. I usually want to lose my left arm first, then my right arm, then try to spread the damage onto different parts of your mech.

I use a 260 STD engine across all of my Hunchback builds. WHy? speed and zombie with 1 ML is hilarious :)

Thanks everyone for your replies. I have another question. On my owned 4P, I can't seem to add any armor to my right rear torso. It says both right and left rear torso's are 8/48. It says "limit reached", but the armor is only 8 of 48, and my total armor is 320 out of 338? Even if I take armor off of another spot, or drop a weapon or 2 to bring me off of max weight, I still can't add armor to these spots?

What am I doing wrong there? Armor of 8 on the back of my weapon pod? That's crazy!

I must be overlooking something?

Thanks.

Your front and back armor of that part combined make up the 100%. If you want more armor on the back, you need to take some off your front.

I recommend a third weapon group with only weapons of the head and hunch. When you have a waist-high obstruction between you and your target, you will have no weapon group that will not waste heat with your setup.

Ah. So, perfect for peeking over the hill like? Makes sense.

Thanks although the 3rd mouse key is annoying to use ;_;

You can just map 3rd weapon group to a key that you like. If you run WASD, F Q E or Shift would work for example.

never thought of using shift for a weapon hot key.. It is always used for something else in most games.. thanks for the tip!
