yeah. remove the base entirely from assault mode. Make it a Team Deathmatch and be done. delegating lights to be cap bots does a disservice to that entire family of mechs.

To be honest, I think it's a very bad move....this -IMHO- creates more annoyed people while only boosting the amount of online players for a little while. Not a fun experience for new players....

I think the little achievement metals that you can slap on your sig or automatically appear on your profile page and forum post is more than enough. I bought the bullet and a few other hanging cockpit items. I don't think giving them away is a great idea and not because I paid for them but because they generate a source of revenue for the game.

Would be glad to see a challenge for some mechbay slots as I really could need them and dont have the money to spare to pay ~2$ for a new slot in a game .... better things to do with my money to be honest.

It would be nice if those could be shifted closer towards saturday/sunday. I couldn't make the previous Challenge Weekend since I was only available on the, well, weekend :).

Seriously, didn't have to try for either challenges...
Double requirements or shorten time, and mebbe run both mid-week AND weekend events, that would cover ALL of your playerbase without leaving anyone out... I know you are just trying to get shineys into mechs so that spectating nubs will see tham and want to buy them, funding your ops, great... its WAY TOO #$%^&#^%$@#%$@*$%^* EASY!!!

I have to remember to NOT try and play MWO from the work PC, even during challenges. It's just not good enough, no matter how many things I disable... :)

Not sure who or where it was said (I think it was on one of the "Ask The Devs"), but I believe the reason for having a base is for this scenario, and obviously others: team A have completely stomped team B, but one of team B is still alive, with no weapons and very weak, and has gone to hide somewhere on the map and power down. With Alpine or Tourmaline as the map, team A, despite deserving of victory, result in a draw for not being able to find the remaining 'mech in time.

To prevent this, the base is used so team A have another means of winning and can rightfully claim a win.

Yes we all hate it when a pack of lights cap your base within the first five minutes, but you can get an earlier warning by scouting at the beginning of a game to try and prevent this.

Just wondering if anybody else noticed that the scoring doesnt seem to be going right.
Yesterday I was 1 and 1
today says that I'm 1 in a assault mech and 3 on the conquer
But I didnt win any conquer matchs today Just 2 matches with a assault class stalker for conquest
So is that right then? Just confused by the scoring
