people complained about jumpjets because thats what people do and just like with every buff/nerf so far the devs overcompensated.

i have 10 tons of jump jets on my heavy metal that are now usesless.

firstly, why does my mech have a gyro if it doesnt work?

second massive over-reaction, the screen should maybe shake one 4th of what it does now.

a fix would be to make it difficult to aim, what is practiced is you cannot aim.

it effects bigger mechs more then smaller, unfairly so, the fact that a mech can load 10 tons
of jumpets and see no return on investment is criminal.

the developers need to stop listening to the complainers and haters and focus on making
the game fun, like it was before heavy metal got parkinsons

Have to agree, jump jets are now useless, btw from a programmers standpoint, I bet the new latency is directly influenced from the new reticule retardation.

the random thing is kind of dumb lol..

and the shake is just a bit much (at least for lighter mechs)

Didn't you try use jumps for movement, not just poptarting? This crying is just a sweet symphony for my ears! Let the Fair battle of real mechwarriors with steel balls begin!

I used jumpjets all the time when brawling and flying up onto higher grounds (especially Canyon map). And I can still hit an enemy in the CT reliably from 400m away with jumpjets. Saying they are useless is an overreaction - they were never meant to be used for pinpoint poptarting from 800m away.

That said the screenshake is going to be reduced but poptarting will not be back.

not having any issues with A1 (obviously) or jenners using JJ's. screens not shaking anymore than it normally would running over rough terrain in either of the above mentioned mechs. I use them to do 360 spins and stuff while jumping over the mech im targetting as well so it gets a good workout.

I think that jumpjets should be used primarily for mobility.

Fighting while jumpjetting is still possible in close quarters for skilled pilots.

All other things I think should rightly be secondary.

I like the shake, got rid of the poptarters, and I see no difference between my spider and my founders cat.

If people are saying some 'Mechs are now redundant because they can't jump and shoot (poptart) they're either 1) skilless or 2) stupid.

I can still bounce around and fire and HIT. I say to the whiners, learn to pilot your 'Mech properly!

My problem with it is that line there, 'skilled'. Its not, if the jump jets induce a random factor to your shot AS WELL as the shaking (which i don't mind) then skill is being replaced with RNG. I still like my JJ mechs but I can't shoot in a brawls while using them to jump over people etc because there's a fair chance I could hit a team-mate, which i have no control over.

Dont forget I also said close quarters. It is not as if you shoot and your shots go wildly off course. There is only minor deviation which makes it almost impossible to hit things outside 400m. However within 300m it is quite possible to reliably hit medium sized mechs and up.

I didnt say it doesnt throw off your aim, only that you can still hit things in close proximity.

Just imagine massive thrusters (what they are) taking your huge tin can into the air like a rocket and your head is vibrating around in your helmet. :D

Running at near full speed should add an appropriate shake too.
TT penalty: Running +2, Jumping +3
