as the title states, I've had freezing issues in 1 of every 3 games I've played since the patch, not sure what exactly is wrong but I can barely play the game at this point without crashing in the middle of a fight. I've had no issues since august 2012 until now

Yep, you have to alt-tab out and back in some games to get it to unfreeze.

I get the same issue, but alt tab doesn't seem to fix it for me.

A couple of suggestions
(1) Have you run the repair tool to clear out the shaders folder and see if any files are corrupted?
http://mwomercs.com/...public-release/
(2) If that doesn't work, have you submitted a support ticket with DXDiag and Omicron logs attached?

Good luck with resolution

How does one submit DXDiag and Omicron logs?
(well...more of where do I find the logs and diag program and to whom do I send them?)

Sorry, don't have that handy, just the repair tool, suggest you do a forum search on DXDiag and Omicron, or submit a support ticket and ask them how to do it. Hopefully one of the many, many, many much wiser than me will let you know how to do it before than.

same here.

the total freeze frame effect is back, alt-tab to windows and switch back to MWO fixes it.

ALSO

did Hit Detection take a hit on the last patch?

Okay, for your Omicron log, go to your MWO folder and there should be a text file there called Omicron.

1/3 matches I get froze out/crashed. Alt tabbing doesn't help. After multiple support tickets, it's "my system" at fault, when every other game runs fun on ultra settings.

Must be all of you have "system issues" too LOL!!! In every match between 1-4 and as many as 7 mechs get disconnected now.

PGI also refuses to refund any of my wasted premium time due to not being allowed to play / finish most matches.

And yes, my Gauss only registers hits 33% of the time except for the testing grounds....PGI is aware of this but doesn't know how to fix it or hire someone who can.

How much memory do people who are having this problem have? Are you on 64 bit, or 32 bit windows?

I experience crashes (with 8 gb of memory) only when i have a bunch of youtube tabs open that soak up a lot of memory. It might be that, try something like gamebooster (or whatever its called) and you could potentially get some mileage out of that

I am having this problem all the time tonight.

Previously alt tab would do the trick but now it is crashing the client and needs to be forced shut with task manager.

Same, 3 out of every 7 matches now, wasting premium time.

Similarly, every few matches I get a hard freeze (Windows donut of doom, MWOClient.exe pegs out one core (out of four), eats ~1.25GB of RAM out of 8.00GB). Alt-Tab has no effect, Repair Tool reports no corrupted files, DxDiag shows no anomalies.

Looks like a race condition in one thread of the client, perhaps.
