I want to buy the camo color black, but I dont really understand at all, what i get.

if i purchase it for 1000 MC do i unlock it for every mech in my bay, or just for all mechs of one kind? (for example all catapults)

Any colours you purchase are permanently available for any 'mech in your garage regardless of chassis.

Camo Black (specifically) should only be 500 MC. There are other blacks for 1,000 MC but they are much shinier. For example Obsidian Black is 1,000 MC, and it has a blue shine like real Obsidian. Camo black has a very dull, almost non-existent grey shine (as it's camo, that's a good thing as it'll never brightly scream 'HERE I AM!')

Any color you purchase is available for all mechs you own. However, any camo pattern, such as vagabond, mountain, et al., are either only for that variant or that chasis. So if you have a Raven 3L, you could either buy a camo pattern only for the Raven 3L, or for all Ravens. If you then wanted the same camo pattern for your Atlas RS, you would have to purchase it again, and again have the same two choices. For just the Atlas RS or for all Atlases.
