So I've tried reinstalling MWO recently and it's telling me that "A version of Mechwarrior Online is already installed." And won't continue. I've uninstalled MWO, so I'm not sure what to do.

Bump. I'd appreciate a solution. But I guess I won't be heartbroken if I can't re-install.

uninstall mwo

use ccleaner to clean your registry

http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

you can also use it to remove mwo

update your drivers etc too

then reinstall mwo

try using ccleaner for your registry, failing that do the following.

start->run (windows key->r)
type "regedit" (minus quotes) into the run menu, hit enter
using regedit navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\piranha games
delete the piranha games folder tree in regedit, then try to reinstall MWO and it should work.
let me know how it goes :)

Life saver! I had an idea it was this and was about to spaz out. Hopefully PGI wil fix this issue.
