Leasing Mechs.
The idea is this, the owner of a pre-built mech can choose to Lease the mech from the Mechbay, adding it to a que of other mechs for people to choose from.
A Leased mech can't be used by the original owner during this time, it becomes locked and shows if its waiting to be used, or in a match. It can only be brought out or canceled from the Leasing Que if its not in a match.
The benefit is new players get to choose to use better, redesigned mechs instead of the basic Trial Mechs. The cost however is they don't gain as much C-Bills from using it - that becomes the Leasing Fee.
The Fee is on a per match basis. For example the player using it shows as a 30% fee from the possible C-Bills. The Player Leasing it gains 25%, with the remaining 5% a 'handling fee' for the system. This could also encourage premium time as this wouldn't cut into that bonus.
The system should be like the Mechbay store where they choose the style of the pre-built mech from the list. The list shuffles after use putting the last used mech in the back of the list. For example there are multiple variants of the D-DC on the list, the one that got used gets put in the back of the list letting the next D-DC to be chosen on the next match. Allowing the mechs to rotate for use. If however there is no variant available the option is defaulted to the Trial Mech or be blocked.
This also encourages players to play to get their own if they like one particular build over another they would need to buy and make that mech, as well as the opportunity to try out the builds other use to see how they play.
